1. Introduction
This manual provides essential information for the safe and efficient use of your C idea CM822 Smart 8-inch Kids Tablet. Please read it thoroughly before using the device to ensure proper operation and to understand its features and capabilities.

3. Setup
3.1 Charging the Tablet
Before first use, fully charge the tablet. Connect the provided Type-C cable to the tablet's charging port and the UK charger to a power outlet. The charging indicator will show the charging status.
3.2 Power On/Off
- To Power On: Press and hold the power button located on the side of the tablet until the screen lights up.
- To Power Off: Press and hold the power button, then select 'Power off' from the options that appear on the screen.
3.3 Inserting SIM and TF Card
Locate the SIM/TF card slot on the side of the tablet. Carefully insert a Micro Single-SIM card for 5G LTE connectivity and/or a TF (microSD) card for expandable memory (up to 64GB). Ensure the cards are inserted correctly according to the diagram near the slot.
3.4 Initial Setup
Upon first power-on, follow the on-screen prompts to configure basic settings:
- Select your preferred language.
- Connect to a Wi-Fi network.
- Set up your Google account (optional, but recommended for app downloads).
- Review and accept terms and conditions.
4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Screen Navigation
The tablet features an 8-inch capacitive IPS touch screen. Use the following gestures for navigation:
- Tap: To select an item or open an application.
- Swipe: To scroll through screens or lists.
- Pinch: To zoom in or out on images and web pages.
- Long Press: To access contextual menus or move icons.

4.2 Applications
- Pre-installed Apps: The tablet comes with 46 pre-installed applications. These can be accessed from the app drawer.
- Installing New Apps: You can download and install additional applications from the Google Play Store. Ensure you have a Google account set up and an active internet connection.
4.3 Volume Control
Use the dedicated volume buttons located on the side of the tablet to adjust the audio output level for media, calls, and notifications.
5. Connectivity
5.1 Wi-Fi Connection
To connect to a Wi-Fi network:
- Go to Settings > Network & internet > Wi-Fi.
- Toggle Wi-Fi On.
- Select your desired network from the list.
- Enter the network password if prompted, then tap Connect.
5.2 Bluetooth Pairing
To pair with a Bluetooth device (e.g., TWS Bluetooth Headset):
- Go to Settings > Connected devices > Bluetooth.
- Toggle Bluetooth On.
- Ensure your Bluetooth device is in pairing mode.
- Select the device from the 'Available devices' list and follow any on-screen instructions to complete pairing.
5.3 5G LTE Mobile Data
If you have inserted a Micro Single-SIM card, you can use 5G LTE mobile data:
- Go to Settings > Network & internet > Mobile network.
- Ensure Mobile data is toggled On.
- Configure APN settings if required by your service provider.
6. Camera Usage
The C idea CM822 tablet is equipped with a 2MP front camera and a 5MP rear camera (Kids version).
- Open the Camera application from the home screen or app drawer.
- Tap the camera switch icon to toggle between the front and rear cameras.
- Tap on the screen to focus on a specific area.
- Press the shutter button to capture a photo or start/stop video recording.

7. Maintenance
7.1 Cleaning
Use a soft, lint-free cloth to clean the tablet screen and body. Avoid using abrasive cleaners, alcohol, or harsh chemicals, as these can damage the device's surfaces.
7.2 Battery Care
- Avoid exposing the tablet to extreme temperatures (hot or cold).
- Do not leave the tablet charging for excessively long periods after it is fully charged.
- For optimal battery life, try to keep the battery charge between 20% and 80%.
7.3 Software Updates
Regularly check for and install available software updates to ensure optimal performance, security, and access to new features. Go to Settings > System > System update.
7.4 Storage Management
To maintain tablet performance, periodically clear unnecessary files, uninstall unused apps, and move large media files to external storage (TF card) or cloud services. Go to Settings > Storage to manage.
8. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your tablet, refer to the following common solutions:
8.1 Tablet Not Powering On
- Ensure the battery is sufficiently charged. Connect the charger and wait a few minutes.
- Press and hold the power button for 10-15 seconds to perform a forced restart.
8.2 Slow Performance
- Close any unnecessary background applications.
- Clear the cache of frequently used apps in Settings > Apps.
- Restart the tablet.
- Ensure sufficient free storage space.
8.3 Wi-Fi Connection Issues
- Restart your Wi-Fi router and the tablet.
- Forget the network in Wi-Fi settings and reconnect by re-entering the password.
- Ensure you are within range of the Wi-Fi signal.
8.4 Apps Crashing or Not Responding
- Go to Settings > Apps, select the problematic app, then choose Force stop, Clear cache, and Clear data (note: clearing data will delete app-specific information).
- If the issue persists, uninstall and reinstall the app.
8.5 Factory Reset (Last Resort)
If other troubleshooting steps fail, a factory reset can resolve many software issues. Warning: This will erase all data on your tablet. Back up important data before proceeding.
- Go to Settings > System > Reset options.
- Select Erase all data (factory reset).
- Confirm your decision and follow the on-screen instructions.
