4. Product Overview

The Aputure amaran 60dS is a compact and powerful 65W Bowens Mount LED video light, designed for high spectral continuity and accurate color rendering. It features an upgraded High SSI LED design, offering excellent CRI, TLCI, TM-30, and SSI scores.

5. Setup

5.1 Mounting the Light

Attach the amaran 60dS to a light stand using the included tilting stand adapter. Ensure the mounting pin is securely fastened.

5.2 Attaching Accessories

The amaran 60dS features a universal Bowens Mount, allowing compatibility with a wide range of light modifiers. To attach an accessory, align the accessory with the Bowens Mount and rotate until it locks into place. The stand adapter also includes an umbrella holder.

5.3 Powering the Light

The amaran 60dS can be powered via the included AC power supply or by using NP-F batteries with the dual NP-F battery plate (D-Tap power cable sold separately for D-Tap battery compatibility).

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Basic Operation

Power on the device using the power switch. Adjust brightness and other settings using the control knob. Press the knob to confirm selections.

6.2 Built-in Lighting Effects

The amaran 60dS includes 8 built-in lighting effects: Paparazzi, Fireworks, Lightning, Faulty Bulb, TV, Pulsing, Strobe, and Explosion. These effects can be accessed and controlled via the unit's interface or the Sidus Link App.

6.3 Sidus Link App Control

For advanced control and convenience, the amaran 60dS integrates with the Sidus Link App. Download the app to your mobile device to adjust settings, activate effects, and manage your light remotely.

7. Maintenance

7.1 Cleaning

Regularly clean the light fixture with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive materials. Ensure the light is powered off and unplugged before cleaning.

7.2 Storage

When not in use, store the amaran 60dS in its EPP carrying case in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.

• Light not turning on: Check power connections. Ensure the AC adapter is properly connected or NP-F batteries are charged and correctly inserted.
• App connection issues: Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your mobile device. Restart the light and the Sidus Link App.
• Overheating warning: Ensure ventilation openings are not blocked. Reduce ambient temperature if possible.
