4. Setup

Initial Charging:

Before first use, fully charge your OutIn Nano. Connect the provided USB-C cable to the machine and a compatible 5V/3A USB adapter (not included). The battery indicator lights will show charging progress.

First Use & Cleaning:

Prior to brewing your first espresso, it is recommended to run a cycle with just water to clean the internal components. Fill the water tank with clean water and initiate a brewing cycle without coffee.

5. Operating Instructions

Brewing with Ground Coffee:

1. Unscrew the bottom part of the machine to access the portafilter.
2. Fill the portafilter with 6-8 grams of fine ground coffee. Ensure the coffee is evenly distributed and tamped lightly if desired.
3. Screw the portafilter back onto the machine securely.
4. Unscrew the top cap and fill the water tank with cold or hot water (up to 70ml/2.4oz).
5. Place your espresso cup directly under the machine's spout.
6. Press and hold the power button for 2 seconds to start the heating and brewing process. The machine will automatically heat the water and extract the espresso.
7. Wait for the extraction to complete (approx. 3-4 minutes for cold water, faster for hot water).

Brewing with NS Capsules:

1. Unscrew the bottom part of the machine.
2. Insert an NS Original Line capsule into the designated adapter.
3. Screw the adapter with the capsule back onto the machine securely.
4. Unscrew the top cap and fill the water tank with cold or hot water (up to 70ml/2.4oz).
5. Place your espresso cup directly under the machine's spout.
6. Press and hold the power button for 2 seconds to start the heating and brewing process.
7. Wait for the extraction to complete.

6. Maintenance

Cleaning:

To ensure optimal performance and longevity, clean your OutIn Nano after each use:

• Unscrew the bottom part (portafilter/capsule adapter).
• Discard used coffee grounds or capsule.
• Rinse all detachable parts (portafilter, adapter, cup) with clean water.
• Wipe the main unit with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the main unit in water.
• Ensure all parts are dry before reassembling or storing.

7. Troubleshooting

Common Issues & Solutions:

• Coffee doesn't come out: Ensure water tank is filled, machine is fully charged, and coffee grounds/capsule are correctly inserted.
• Coffee is not hot: The machine may have extracted directly without heating the cold water. Ensure you press and hold the button for 2 seconds to activate heating.
• Water leakage: Check if all parts are screwed on tightly and that the water tank is not overfilled. Ensure the rubber gasket is properly seated.
• Machine not charging: Verify that you are using a compatible 5V/3A USB adapter and the provided USB-C cable. Low-quality charging cables may cause issues.
