Cable Connection:
- Connect the DXLink twisted pair cable (Cat6a/7) from the DXLink receiver/switcher to the RJ-45 port on the rear of the faceplate. Ensure proper termination (T568B recommended).
- If using, connect the 3.5mm analog audio cable to the corresponding input on the rear.
Mounting: Carefully insert the faceplate into the wall box. Secure it using the provided mounting screws. Do not overtighten.
Power On: Restore power to the DXLink system.
Testing: Connect an HDMI source and an audio source (if applicable) to the faceplate and verify signal transmission to the connected display/audio system.

The DXLink Faceplate operates by automatically detecting connected sources and transmitting them over the DXLink twisted pair cable.

5.1. Connecting Sources

HDMI: Connect an HDMI cable from your source device (e.g., laptop, Blu-ray player) to the HDMI IN port on the faceplate.
Analog Audio: Connect a 3.5mm audio cable from your audio source to the 3.5mm audio input jack.

5.2. Status Indicators

The faceplate features two LEDs to indicate operational status:

DXLINK LED:
- Solid Green: Indicates a stable DXLink connection to a receiver/switcher.
- Flashing Green: Indicates DXLink link activity or negotiation.
- Off: No DXLink connection or power.
HDCP LED:
- Solid Green: Indicates successful HDCP authentication with the connected HDMI source.
- Flashing Green: Indicates HDCP authentication in progress.
- Off: No HDCP authentication or no HDMI source connected.

6. Maintenance

The DXLink Faceplate requires minimal maintenance.

Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the surface of the faceplate. Do not use liquid cleaners or abrasive materials.
Inspection: Periodically check cable connections to ensure they are secure.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your DXLink Faceplate, refer to the following table:

Intermittent signal.	Poor cable connection; cable length exceeds limits; interference.	Reseat all cables. Ensure DXLink cable length is within specifications (e.g., 100m for Cat6a/7). Check for sources of electromagnetic interference.
