5. Setup and Installation
Before installation, ensure the power supply is disconnected to prevent electrical shock. This device requires a DC 12V power source.

6. Operating Modes
The AK-RKO1SY supports three distinct operating modes: Momentary, Latching, and Interlock. The mode is determined by how the remote control is paired with the receiver.

- Momentary Mode (Jog Mode):
In this mode, the relay activates only while the remote control button is pressed. Releasing the button deactivates the relay. This is suitable for applications requiring temporary activation, like an electric door opener that moves only while the button is held.
To set: Press the learning button on the receiver once. The indicator LED will light up. Then, press the desired button on your remote control. The LED will flash several times and then turn off, indicating successful pairing in Momentary mode.
- Latching Mode (Self-Locking Mode):
In this mode, pressing the remote control button once activates the relay, and it remains active until the same button is pressed again to deactivate it. This is useful for on/off control of lights or other devices.
To set: Press the learning button on the receiver twice. The indicator LED will light up. Then, press the desired button on your remote control. The LED will flash several times and then turn off, indicating successful pairing in Latching mode.
- Interlock Mode:
This mode is typically used with multiple buttons on a remote or multiple remotes controlling the same receiver. When one button is pressed, its corresponding relay activates, and any previously activated relay (from another button) deactivates. This ensures only one output is active at a time. For the provided single-button remote, this mode will behave similarly to Latching mode, where pressing the button toggles the relay state.
To set: Press the learning button on the receiver three times. The indicator LED will light up. Then, press the desired button on your remote control. The LED will flash several times and then turn off, indicating successful pairing in Interlock mode.

7. Pairing Remote Control
To pair a remote control with the receiver module, follow these general steps. The specific number of presses on the learning button determines the operating mode (see Section 6).
- Ensure the receiver module is powered on.
- Locate the small "learning button" (often labeled "LEARN" or "KEY") on the receiver board.
- Press the learning button the required number of times for your desired operating mode (1 for Momentary, 2 for Latching, 3 for Interlock). The indicator LED on the receiver will illuminate, signaling it is in learning mode.
- Within a few seconds, press the button on your remote control that you wish to pair.
- The indicator LED on the receiver will flash several times and then turn off, confirming successful pairing.
- Test the remote control to ensure it operates the relay in the desired mode.
To clear all paired remotes: Press and hold the learning button on the receiver for approximately 8 seconds until the indicator LED flashes rapidly and then turns off. This will erase all stored remote control codes.
8. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Keep the module and remote control clean and free from dust. Use a soft, dry cloth for cleaning. Do not use liquid cleaners.
