Setup and Installation

Follow these steps to set up your ANRAN G1 camera:

1. Initial Charging and SIM/SD Card Insertion

  1. Charge the Camera: Before first use, fully charge the camera's internal batteries using the provided USB cable and a 5V power adapter (not included). This ensures the camera has sufficient power for initial setup and operation, especially if solar charging is not immediately optimal.

2. App Download and Account Registration

  1. Download the App: Search for the "ANRAN" app (or specified app name in packaging) on your smartphone's app store (iOS App Store or Google Play Store).
  2. Register Account: Open the app and follow the on-screen instructions to register a new account.
  3. Add Device: In the app, select "Add Device" or a similar option. Scan the QR code located on the camera or its packaging to pair the camera with your account. Follow any further prompts to complete the pairing process.

3. Mounting the Camera

Choose a suitable outdoor location for mounting. Consider the following:

  • Optimal Solar Exposure: Position the solar panel where it receives maximum direct sunlight throughout the day to ensure continuous battery charging.
  • Coverage Area: Ensure the camera's field of view covers the desired monitoring area. The 3600 PTZ (Pan-Tilt-Zoom) functionality allows for flexible adjustment after mounting.
  • Cellular Signal: Verify that the chosen location has adequate 3G/4G LTE cellular signal strength for reliable connectivity.
  • Security: Mount the camera at a height that deters tampering while still providing a clear view.

Operating the Camera

Once installed and connected, you can control and monitor your camera via the ANRAN mobile application.

Live View and PTZ Control

  • Open the ANRAN app and select your camera from the device list.
  • The app will display the live video feed from the camera.
  • Use the on-screen controls to pan (rotate horizontally up to 3550), tilt (rotate vertically up to 900), and optically zoom the camera's lens to adjust the viewing angle.

  • Battery Health: While the solar panel provides continuous charging, monitor the battery level via the app. If the camera is in a shaded area for extended periods, occasional manual charging via the USB port may be necessary.
  • SD Card Management: Although the camera supports loop recording, it is recommended to periodically back up important footage and format the SD card through the app to maintain its performance.
