Introduction
The MECHEER Watt Meter Power Meter Plug is an upgraded home energy monitor designed to help you understand and manage the electricity usage of your appliances. This multi-function device accurately monitors power (W), electricity (kWh), voltage (V), frequency (Hz), current (A), power factor (PF), unit price ($/kWh), and total cost ($). With its clear backlight display and user-friendly features, it provides essential data for optimizing energy consumption and reducing electricity bills.

Setup
- Unboxing: Carefully remove the Watt Meter from its packaging.
- Initial Connection: Plug the Watt Meter directly into a standard US wall socket (120V/60Hz). The LCD display will illuminate.
- Connect Appliance: Plug the appliance you wish to monitor into the socket on the front of the Watt Meter.

Operating Instructions
8 Display Modes
The Watt Meter features 8 display modes, allowing you to view various electrical parameters. Press the "M" button to cycle through the modes:
- Mode 1: Power (W)
- Mode 2: Electricity (kWh)
- Mode 3: Voltage (V)
- Mode 4: Frequency (Hz)
- Mode 5: Current (A)
- Mode 6: Power Factor (PF)
- Mode 7: Unit Price ($/kWh)
- Mode 8: Total Cost ($)

Electricity Price Settings
To set the electricity unit price ($/kWh):
- Press and hold the "SET" button for 3 seconds to enter the electricity price setting mode.
- Press the "M" button to select the digit location you wish to change.
- Press the "UP" button to adjust the number.
- Press the "M" button again to save the price settings.
Backlight Function
The LCD display features a white backlight for clear readability. The backlight automatically turns off after 10 minutes if no button is pressed. You can manually control the backlight:
- Press the "UP" button to turn the backlight on or off.
- Press any button to turn the backlight on if it's off.
Data Memory Function
The Watt Meter is equipped with a data memory function. All setting data and cumulative data (electricity quantity, cost, unit price) will be saved even when the device is removed from the socket or the appliance is unplugged. This allows you to view the last recorded data upon next use (current, voltage, power, and power factors are not saved).

Data Clear and Reset Function
To clear all cumulative data (electricity quantity, cost) and restore all settings to factory defaults:
- Press and hold the "M" button for 5 seconds directly. No additional reset tool is needed.
- To clear all cumulative data (kWh data and cost data), press and hold the "SET" button and "M" button at the same time for 3 seconds. This will not clear the set unit price.

Maintenance
To ensure the longevity and accurate performance of your Watt Meter:
- Cleaning: Wipe the device with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Storage: Store the Watt Meter in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Material Quality: The entire body of the energy meter is constructed from high-quality ABS material, ensuring durability, fire resistance, and anti-drop properties.
Troubleshooting
Overload Protection
The Watt Meter includes an overload protection feature. If the connected appliance's power consumption exceeds the default overload threshold of 1800W, the entire display with backlight and the word "OVERLOAD" will flash to warn the user. For safety, immediately turn off the overloaded appliance.
