Setup

  1. Unpack all components and remove any packaging materials.
  2. Wash the inner pot, detachable inner lid, measuring cup, and rice spoon with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry.
  3. Wipe the exterior of the main unit with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the main unit in water.
  4. Place the rice cooker on a stable, flat, heat-resistant surface, away from direct sunlight and heat sources.
  5. Ensure proper ventilation around the appliance.

Operating Instructions

Basic Operation

  1. Place the cleaned inner pot into the main unit.
  2. Add desired ingredients (e.g., rice and water) to the inner pot.
  3. Close the lid securely. Press the lid release button to open.
  4. Plug the power cord into a suitable electrical outlet.
  5. Press the 'Menu' button to cycle through the cooking functions: Rice, Porridge, Simmer, and Keep Warm. The selected function will illuminate.
  6. Once a function is selected, the cooker will automatically begin the cooking process.
  7. When cooking is complete, the cooker will automatically switch to 'Keep Warm' mode.

Using the Delay Timer

The 24-hour delay timer allows you to prepare ingredients in advance and set a delayed start time for cooking.

  1. Add ingredients to the inner pot and close the lid.
  2. Press the 'Delay' button. The display will show a default delay time.
  3. Use the 'Menu' button to adjust the delay time in hours.
  4. Once the desired delay time is set, select your cooking function (Rice, Porridge, or Simmer) using the 'Menu' button.
  5. The cooker will start cooking after the set delay time has elapsed.

7-Step Cooking Process for Rice

The DEZIN Mini Rice Cooker utilizes a 7-step process to ensure optimal rice texture and flavor:

  1. Preheating: Gradually warms the inner pot.
  2. Water Absorption: Allows rice to absorb water evenly.
  3. High-Temperature Heating: Rapidly heats to boiling point.
  4. Boiling: Maintains a steady boil for thorough cooking.
  5. Steaming: Steams the rice to perfection.
  6. Slow Cooking: Gently cooks to enhance flavor.
  7. Holding State (Keep Warm): Automatically switches to keep warm once cooking is complete.

Cooking Guide

The included measuring cup is typically 180ml. Use it for accurate measurements.

For White Rice:

  • For 1 cup of uncooked rice, add 1 to 1.2 cups of water.
  • For 2 cups of uncooked rice, add 2 to 2.4 cups of water.
  • For 3 cups of uncooked rice, add 3 to 3.6 cups of water.
  • For 4 cups of uncooked rice, add 4 to 4.8 cups of water.

Note: Adjust water quantity based on desired rice texture and type of rice. Rinse rice before cooking for best results.

For Porridge and Simmer:

Follow specific recipes for water-to-ingredient ratios when preparing porridge or simmered dishes. The 'Porridge' and 'Simmer' functions are optimized for these cooking methods.

Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning ensures the longevity and performance of your rice cooker.

  1. Always unplug the appliance and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
  2. Inner Pot: The nonstick inner pot is designed for easy cleaning. Wash with warm, soapy water and a soft sponge. Avoid abrasive cleaners or metal scouring pads to prevent damage to the nonstick coating. The inner pot is scratch-resistant and BPA-free.
