Setup
- Unpack the Device: Carefully remove the microchip reader and all accessories from the packaging.
- Initial Charge: Before first use, fully charge the device. Connect the provided USB cable to the scanner's USB port and to a standard USB power adapter (not included) or a computer's USB port. The OLED display will indicate charging status.
- Attach D-ring (Optional): If desired, attach the included D-ring to the designated slot on the scanner for easier carrying.
Operating Instructions
- Power On: Press the orange power button located on the front of the device to turn it on. The OLED display will illuminate.
- Scanning for Microchips:

- Slowly move the scanner over the area. The device will automatically detect and read compatible microchips.
- Once a microchip is detected, its 15-digit ID number will be displayed on the OLED screen. The device may also emit an audible beep.
- Reading Multiple Tags: The scanner can save up to 64 tag identifications. Each successful scan will be stored automatically.
- Power Off: The device will automatically shut down after 60 seconds of no tag scanning to conserve battery. You can also press and hold the power button to manually turn it off.

Data Export
To export the stored microchip data to your computer:
- Connect the Tera Pet Microchip Reader to your computer using the provided USB cable.
- Press and hold the power button on the scanner for more than 3 seconds.
- On your computer, open a text editor (e.g., Notepad, TextEdit). The stored data should be exported and displayed in text format.
Maintenance
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the device. For stubborn dirt, a slightly damp cloth can be used, but ensure no moisture enters the device's ports or openings.
