Important Safety Information

• Ensure the power source voltage matches the product's requirements (120 Volts).
• Do not connect more than 28 strands of these lights end-to-end to prevent overload.
• Always unplug the string lights from the power outlet before installing, replacing bulbs, or performing any maintenance.
• Do not mount or place near gas or electric heaters, fireplaces, candles, or other similar sources of heat.
• Do not secure the wiring of the product with staples or nails, or place it on sharp hooks or nails.
• Inspect the product carefully before each use. Discard any products that have cut, damaged, or frayed wire insulation or cords, cracks in the lampholders, or exposed copper wire.
• The bulbs are made of shatterproof plastic, reducing the risk of breakage.
• This product is rated IP44 waterproof, suitable for outdoor use in various weather conditions.

Setup Instructions

1. Unpack and Inspect: Carefully remove the string lights and all components from the packaging. Inspect the bulbs, sockets, and cord for any signs of damage. Ensure all bulbs are securely screwed into their sockets.
2. Plan Your Installation: Determine the desired path for your string lights. The 25-foot length with 12-inch spacing between bulbs provides ample coverage. Each bulb features a clip on the side for easy hanging.
3. Secure the Lights: Use the integrated clips to hang the string lights on trees, fences, pergolas, or other desired structures. For a more secure installation, zip ties or small hooks can be used with the clips.
4. Connect Multiple Strands (Optional): If more length is required, connect up to 28 strands end-to-end using the male and female connectors. Ensure the total wattage does not exceed 432W. The 6-inch lead with a male plug and 6-inch tail with a female connector facilitate easy connection.
5. Plug In: Once securely installed, plug the string lights into a compatible 120V outdoor electrical outlet.

Operating Instructions

The GOOTHY G40 LED Outdoor String Lights are designed for simple operation.

• Power On/Off: Simply plug the string lights into a live electrical outlet to turn them on. Unplug them to turn them off.
• Dimmable Functionality: These LED string lights are dimmer compatible. If you wish to adjust the brightness, connect them to a compatible outdoor dimmer (not included). This allows you to create a customized ambiance for any occasion.
• Versatile Use: The multicolor bulbs are ideal for various settings, including gardens, yards, decks, fences, weddings, parties, and holiday decorations.

Maintenance

• Bulb Replacement: In case a bulb goes out, it will not affect the other bulbs on the strand due to the parallel circuit design. Unplug the string lights before replacing any bulbs. Use the provided spare bulbs or purchase compatible G40 LED bulbs with a C7/E12 candelabra base.
• Fuse Replacement: The male plug contains a built-in spare fuse (125V/5A) for easy replacement if needed. Refer to the diagram in Figure 2 for the fuse location.
• Cleaning: To clean the bulbs and cord, ensure the lights are unplugged. Wipe gently with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
• Weather Resistance: The IP44 waterproof rating ensures the lights can withstand rain, wind, and wet weather. The shatterproof plastic bulbs are designed for durability against impacts.
• Storage: When not in use for extended periods, store the string lights in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.

Troubleshooting

• Lights Not Turning On:
  • Check if the plug is fully inserted into a working electrical outlet.
  • Verify that the power source is active.
  • Check the fuse in the male plug and replace it if blown (refer to Maintenance section).
  • Ensure all bulbs are securely screwed into their sockets.
• Individual Bulbs Not Lighting:
  • Unplug the string lights.
  • Carefully unscrew and re-screw the non-working bulb to ensure proper contact.
  • If the bulb still does not light, replace it with a spare bulb.
• Lights are Too Bright/Dim:
  • If using a compatible dimmer, adjust the dimmer switch to your desired brightness level.
