Setup and Installation

1. Positioning the Unit:
- Place the air conditioner on a flat, stable surface.
- Ensure there is at least 20 inches (50 cm) of space around the unit for proper airflow.
- Position the unit near a window for exhaust hose installation.

2. Installing the Exhaust Hose:
- Attach the exhaust hose to the air outlet on the back of the unit.
- Extend the exhaust hose to the window. The hose is 59 inches long.
- Install the window sealing kit into the window opening.
- Insert the exhaust hose adapter into the opening of the window sealing kit.
- Ensure the hose is not kinked or bent sharply, as this can restrict airflow and reduce efficiency.
3. Power Connection:
- Plug the power cord into a grounded 115 Volt electrical outlet.
- Do not use extension cords or adapter plugs.
Operating Instructions
Your COWSAR portable AC unit offers multiple operating modes for your comfort.
Control Panel and Remote Control:
The unit can be controlled via the top display screen control panel or the included remote control.

Operating Modes:
- Cooling Mode:
Press the "Mode" button until the cooling indicator light is on. Adjust the temperature between 61°F (16°C) and 90°F (32°C) using the Up/Down arrows. The unit will cool the room to the set temperature.

- Dehumidification Mode:
Select this mode to reduce humidity in the room. The unit will operate as a dehumidifier, removing up to 2 liters per hour. The fan speed is typically fixed in this mode.
- Fan Mode:
Operates as a fan to circulate air without cooling. You can select between Low, Mid, and High fan speeds.

- Sleep Mode:
Activates quiet operation and gradually increases the set temperature by 2°F (1°C) every 1 hour for comfortable sleep. The noise level is less than 53dB in this mode.

Timer Function:
The 24-hour timing function allows you to set the unit to turn on or off automatically. This is useful for pre-cooling a room before you arrive home or turning it off after you fall asleep.

Temperature Display:
The front temperature display panel can be switched between Fahrenheit (°F) and Celsius (°C).
Maintenance

1. Cleaning the Air Filter:
- The air filter should be cleaned every two weeks or more frequently depending on usage.
- Remove the detachable back cover to access the filter.
- Wash the filter with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and allow it to air dry completely before reinstalling.
2. Draining Water:
- The unit features a self-evaporation system, which reduces the need for frequent manual drainage.
- However, in high humidity conditions or prolonged use, the internal water tank may fill up.
- When the tank is full, the unit will stop operating and display an error code (refer to troubleshooting section).
- To drain, place a shallow pan or bucket under the drain outlet at the bottom rear of the unit. Remove the drain plug and allow all water to drain out. Replace the plug securely.
3. Cleaning the Unit Exterior:
- Wipe the exterior with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
4. Storage:
- Before storing, drain all water from the unit.
- Clean the air filter.
- Store the unit in a cool, dry place, covered to protect it from dust.
