3. Setup and Installation

The COWSAR portable air conditioner is designed for tool-free installation, making it easy to set up in most rooms with a window.

3.1 Unpacking and Placement:

• Carefully remove the unit and all accessories from the packaging.
• Place the unit on a flat, stable surface, ensuring at least 20cm of clearance from walls or furniture to allow for proper airflow.
• The unit's dimensions are approximately 17.72"D x 13.23"W x 27.76"H.

3.2 Window Kit Installation:

The unit comes with a window adapter and exhaust hose for venting hot air outside.

1. Attach the included exhaust hose to the air outlet on the back of the unit.
2. Connect the other end of the exhaust hose to the window adapter.
3. Adjust the window slider kit to fit your window opening and secure it.
4. Insert the window adapter into the opening of the window slider kit.
5. Ensure all connections are secure to prevent hot air from re-entering the room.

4. Operating Instructions

Your COWSAR portable air conditioner can be controlled via the intuitive top panel or the included digital remote control.

4.1 Control Panel and Remote Control:

The control panel on top of the unit provides easy access to all functions. The remote control allows for convenient operation from a distance.

4.2 Operating Modes:

• Cool Mode: Provides powerful cooling. Set desired temperature between 61°F and 95°F.
• Fan Mode: Circulates air without cooling. Choose from Low, Medium, or High fan speeds.
• Dehumidify Mode (Dry): Removes excess moisture from the air at a rate of 2.5L/h (or 60-64 pints per day).
• Sleep Mode: Gradually increases the set temperature by 2°F per hour for comfortable sleep and energy saving.

4.3 Additional Functions:

• Timer Function: Use the 24-hour timer to schedule the unit's operation.
• Swing Function: Activate the automatic swing feature for the air outlet baffle to distribute cool air widely (15-75° range).
• Fan Speed: Select between Low, Medium, and High fan speeds to adjust airflow.

5. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your air conditioner.

5.1 Cleaning the Air Filter:

The unit features a built-in filter to suppress dust and hair. Clean the air filter regularly (every two weeks or more often depending on usage) to maintain efficiency.

1. Unplug the air conditioner from the power outlet.
2. Locate the air filter cover on the back of the unit.
3. Remove the filter by gently pulling it out.
4. Wash the filter under running water (warm, soapy water if heavily soiled).
5. Allow the filter to air dry completely before reinserting it.
6. Ensure the filter is properly seated before operating the unit.

5.2 Draining Water:

During dehumidification or in very humid conditions, water will collect inside the unit. The unit has a self-evaporative system, but manual draining may be required if the tank becomes full (indicated by an error code or reduced performance).

1. Turn off and unplug the unit.
2. Place a shallow pan or tray under the drain outlet at the bottom rear of the unit.
3. Remove the drain plug to allow water to flow out.
4. Once drained, replace the drain plug securely.

5.3 Storage:

When storing the unit for an extended period:

• Ensure all water is drained from the unit.
• Clean the air filter.
• Store the unit in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
