The GL.iNet MT2500A (Brume 2) is a mini VPN security gateway designed for home office and remote work environments. It functions as both a VPN server and client, supporting VPN cascading for enhanced internet security and flexible network access. This device features a 2.5G WAN port, a 1G LAN port, and a USB 3.0 port, along with 8GB eMMC storage. Please note that this model does not include Wi-Fi functionality.

Initial Setup Steps:
- Connect to WAN: Use an Ethernet cable to connect your modem or an Ethernet wall socket to the GL-MT2500A's WAN port (labeled "2.5G WAN").

- Connect to LAN: Insert one end of another Ethernet cable into the GL-MT2500A's LAN port (labeled "LAN") and the other end to your computer.

- Power Up: Connect the power adapter to the Type-C Power port on the device and plug it into a power outlet. The LED light will turn white if the router successfully connects to the Internet.

- Access Admin Panel: Open a web browser on your connected computer and navigate to 192.168.8.1.
- Choose Language: Select your preferred language from the options presented on the setup page.
- Set Admin Password: Create and confirm a strong admin password for your device. This password will be required for future access to the admin panel.
Operating Instructions
VPN Client Configuration:
The Brume 2 supports various VPN client configurations. To enable a VPN client:
- Log into the admin panel (192.168.8.1).
- Navigate to the "VPN" section in the left-hand menu, then select "VPN Dashboard".
- Under the "VPN Client" section, locate your desired VPN protocol (e.g., OpenVPN, WireGuard) and click "Enable" or "Set Up Now" to configure.
- Follow the on-screen prompts to upload your VPN configuration file or enter the necessary details provided by your VPN service provider.
- Once enabled, the VPN LED light on the device will turn white, indicating a successful VPN client connection.

AdGuard Home Integration:
The Brume 2 supports AdGuard Home for network-wide ad and tracker blocking. To configure AdGuard Home:
- Access the admin panel (192.168.8.1).
- Go to "Applications" and then "AdGuard Home".
- Enable AdGuard Home and configure its settings, such as blocklists and parental controls, as desired.

Troubleshooting
- No Internet Connection:
- Verify that the Ethernet cable is securely connected to the WAN port and your modem/wall socket.
- Check the LED indicator for the Internet connection status. If it's not white, there might be an issue with your ISP or modem.
- Restart the Brume 2 and your modem.
- Cannot Access Admin Panel:
- Ensure your computer is connected to the LAN port of the Brume 2.
- Confirm you are typing 192.168.8.1 correctly in your browser's address bar.
- Try clearing your browser's cache or using a different browser.
- VPN Client Not Connecting:
- Double-check your VPN configuration file or entered credentials for accuracy.
- Ensure your VPN service subscription is active.
- Consult your VPN service provider's support for specific connection issues.
