Compatibility

This Anti-Theft Mount is specifically designed for and compatible with the Google Nest Doorbell (Battery). It is not compatible with other doorbell models such as Blink Video Doorbell, Arlo Essential Video Doorbell, or Ring Video Doorbell.

Setup and Installation

Door Requirements:

• Door thickness must be between 0.9 to 2.3 inches.
• There must be a minimum 1/8 inch gap between the door and the doorframe.
• Not suitable for inward-swinging or flush-fit doors.

Installation Steps:

1. Ensure your door meets the thickness and gap requirements.
2. Open your door.
3. Place the Wasserstein Anti-Theft Mount onto the edge of your door, ensuring the doorbell enclosure faces outwards.
4. Adjust the mounting direction if necessary. The mount is reversible to suit either side of your door.

5. Tighten the adjustable screw on the inside of the door until the mount is firmly secured. Do not overtighten.

6. Insert your Google Nest Doorbell (Battery) into the mount's enclosure. Ensure the doorbell's metal plate is properly attached to the back of the doorbell before inserting it into the mount.

7. Secure the doorbell within the mount using the provided screws.

Operating Instructions

Once installed, the mount provides a secure housing for your Google Nest Doorbell (Battery). The doorbell operates as normal within the mount.

Charging the Doorbell:

Since the Google Nest Doorbell (Battery) requires periodic recharging, you will need to remove it from the mount for this process. To do so:

1. Unscrew the securing screws that hold the doorbell within the mount.
2. Carefully remove the doorbell from the enclosure.
3. Charge your Google Nest Doorbell (Battery) according to its manufacturer's instructions.
4. After charging, re-insert the doorbell into the mount, ensuring the metal plate is correctly positioned, and secure it with the screws.

Maintenance

The Wasserstein Anti-Theft Mount is constructed from durable, weather-resistant materials designed for long-lasting outdoor use. Regular maintenance is minimal:

• Periodically check the tightness of the adjustable screw to ensure the mount remains securely fastened to the door.
• Clean the mount with a soft, damp cloth as needed to remove dust or debris. Avoid abrasive cleaners.
• Inspect the mount for any signs of wear or damage, especially after severe weather conditions.

Troubleshooting

• Issue: Doorbell not functioning or showing 'Device Off - Device Not Mounted' after reinstallation.
  Solution: Ensure the metal plate that comes with the Google Nest Doorbell is properly attached to the back of the doorbell before placing it into the Wasserstein mount. This plate is crucial for the doorbell's functionality and connection.
• Issue: Screws for securing the doorbell within the mount are stripping or difficult to use.
  Solution: The provided screws are standard. If you experience stripping, consider replacing them with M3 x 10mm machine screws, preferably with hex socket heads, for improved durability and ease of use with an Allen wrench.
• Issue: Door does not close properly with the mount installed.
  Solution: Verify that your door meets the specified thickness (0.9 to 2.3 inches) and gap (1/8 inch minimum) requirements. The mount may not be suitable for doors outside these specifications or for inward-swinging/flush-fit doors.
