Setup Guide
Follow these steps to assemble your computer components within the Aigo DarkFlash C285 case.
1. Preparation
- Ensure you have a clean, static-free workspace.
- Gather necessary tools: Phillips head screwdriver, cable ties (some included).
- Unpack the case and place it on a stable surface.
2. Removing Side Panels
The tempered glass side panel is secured with four thumb screws. Carefully unscrew them and gently pull the panel away from the chassis. Repeat for the steel side panel on the opposite side if necessary for cable management access.

3. Motherboard Installation
- Install the I/O shield into the rear opening of the case.
- Align your ATX, M-ATX, or M-ITX motherboard with the pre-installed standoffs. Ensure the standoffs match your motherboard's form factor.
- Secure the motherboard with the provided screws. Do not overtighten.
4. Power Supply Unit (PSU) Installation
The PSU mounts in the dedicated compartment at the rear of the case. Slide the PSU into its bay and secure it with screws from the rear of the chassis.
5. Storage Drive Installation
- 3.5" HDD: Locate the HDD cage. Slide the HDD into the bay and secure it with screws.
- 2.5" SSD: Mount SSDs onto the designated brackets, typically found behind the motherboard tray or on the PSU shroud. Secure with screws.
6. Graphics Card (VGA) and Expansion Card Installation
- Remove the necessary expansion slot covers from the rear of the case.
- Insert your graphics card or other expansion cards into the appropriate PCIe slots on the motherboard.
- Secure the cards with screws.
7. Fan and Radiator Installation
The C285 supports various fan and radiator configurations:
- Lateral: Up to 3 x 120mm or 2 x 140mm fans.
- Top: Up to 3 x 120mm or 2 x 140mm fans, or 120/240/280/360mm radiators.
- Bottom: Up to 3 x 120mm fans.
- Rear: 1 x 120mm fan or 120mm radiator.
- Front (Water Cooler): Supports 120/240/280mm radiators.
Mount fans and radiators using the appropriate screws. Ensure correct airflow direction.

8. Cable Management
Utilize the cable routing cutouts and tie-down points behind the motherboard tray to organize cables. This improves airflow and aesthetics.

9. Connecting Front I/O Cables
Connect the front panel cables (USB 3.0, USB 2.0, HD Audio, Power Switch, Reset Switch, Power LED, HDD LED) to the corresponding headers on your motherboard. Refer to your motherboard manual for exact pin layouts.
10. Closing the Case
Once all components are installed and cables are managed, carefully reattach the steel side panel and then the tempered glass side panel, securing them with the thumb screws.
Operating Instructions
After successful assembly, connect your peripherals (monitor, keyboard, mouse) and power cable to the PSU. Press the power button on the front panel to start your system.
- Power Button: Initiates system startup or shutdown.
- Reset Button: Restarts the system.
- USB Ports: For connecting external devices.
