2.3. Motherboard and CPU Cooler Installation
- Install your ITX motherboard onto the motherboard tray using the provided standoffs and screws.
- Install your CPU cooler. Ensure its height does not exceed 65mm to allow the top cover to close properly.
2.4. Power Supply Installation
- Mount the SFX power supply into its designated bracket. The power supply should not exceed 150mm in length.
- Secure the power supply with screws.
2.5. Drive Installation
The JONSBO N2 supports five 3.5-inch hot-swappable HDDs and one 2.5-inch SSD.
- 3.5-inch HDDs: Attach the provided handles and rubber slides to each 3.5-inch HDD. Slide each drive into an available hot-swappable bay until it clicks into place.
- 2.5-inch SSD: Mount the 2.5-inch SSD in its dedicated slot, typically located behind the motherboard tray or within the drive cage structure.
- Connect SATA data and power cables to all installed drives.

2.6. Expansion Card Installation
If using a low-profile PCI expansion card:
- Remove the appropriate PCI slot cover from the rear of the case.
- Insert the low-profile expansion card into the motherboard's PCI-E slot. The card length must not exceed 197mm.
- Secure the card with a screw.
2.7. Front Panel and Cooling Connections
- Connect the front panel headers (USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-C, USB 3.0, Audio+Mic, Power/Reset) to the corresponding pins on your motherboard.
- Ensure the pre-installed rear 120mm fan is connected to a fan header on your motherboard for proper cooling.
2.8. Cable Management and Reassembly
- Route all cables neatly to ensure optimal airflow and prevent interference with components. Use cable ties as needed.
- Slide the top cover back into place and secure it with screws.
- Reattach the magnetic front panel.
3. Operating Instructions
3.1. Power On/Off
Press the power button located on the front panel to turn the system on or off. Follow your operating system's shutdown procedures for safe power-off.
3.2. Hot-Swapping Drives
The JONSBO N2 supports hot-swapping for its 3.5-inch HDD bays. Ensure your motherboard and operating system are configured to support hot-swapping before attempting this procedure.
- Safely eject the drive from your operating system.
- Gently pull the handle of the desired drive bay to release and remove the drive.
- Insert a new 3.5-inch HDD into the empty bay, ensuring it slides in smoothly until it locks into place.
- The operating system should detect the new drive.
4. Maintenance
Regular maintenance helps ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your JONSBO N2 case and its components.
4.1. Cleaning
- Exterior: Wipe the aluminum exterior with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners.
- Dust Filters: The case includes dust filters. Periodically remove and clean them with water or compressed air. Ensure they are completely dry before reinstallation.
- Internal Components: Use compressed air to gently remove dust from internal components, especially the fan blades and heatsinks. Perform this with the system powered off and unplugged.

5. Troubleshooting
This section addresses common issues you might encounter with your JONSBO N2 case.
5.1. No Power
- Verify that the power supply is securely connected to the wall outlet and the motherboard.
- Check that the front panel power button header is correctly connected to the motherboard.
- Ensure the power supply unit (PSU) switch is in the 'ON' position.
5.2. Excessive Fan Noise
- Check if the fan blades are obstructed by cables or dust.
- Ensure the fan is securely mounted and not vibrating against the case.
- If the stock 120x15mm fan is too loud, consider replacing it with a quieter aftermarket fan of the same dimensions.
5.3. Drive Not Detected
- Ensure all SATA data and power cables are securely connected to both the drives and the motherboard/PSU.
- For 3.5-inch HDDs, confirm they are fully seated in their hot-swappable bays.
- Check your motherboard's BIOS/UEFI settings to ensure SATA ports are enabled.
5.4. Overheating
- Verify that the rear 120mm fan is operating correctly.
- Improve cable management to reduce airflow obstruction.
- Ensure the case's ventilation grilles are clear of obstructions.
