1. Introduction

This manual provides essential information for the setup, operation, and maintenance of your Canon PIXMA TS3550i 3-in-1 Wireless Inkjet Printer. Please read this manual thoroughly before using the product to ensure correct and safe operation.

The Canon PIXMA TS3550i is a compact and efficient multifunction device, capable of printing, scanning, and copying documents and photos. Its wireless connectivity allows for flexible placement and printing from various devices, including smartphones and tablets.

2. What's in the Box

Upon unboxing your Canon PIXMA TS3550i, verify that all components are present:

3.1 Initial Power On and Ink Cartridge Installation

  1. Remove all protective tapes and packing materials from the printer.
  2. Connect the power cord to the printer and then to a power outlet.
  3. Press the POWER button to turn on the printer.
  4. Open the front cover and the ink cartridge cover.
  5. Install the black and color ink cartridges into their respective slots until they click into place.
  6. Close the ink cartridge cover and then the front cover.

3.2 Paper Loading

Load paper into the rear paper tray. The printer supports various paper types and sizes up to A4. Adjust the paper guides to fit the paper snugly.

3.3 Software Installation and Wireless Connection

For full functionality, install the printer drivers and software from the provided CD-ROM or download them from the official Canon website. Follow the on-screen instructions for setup, including connecting the printer to your Wi-Fi network.

4. Operating the Printer

4.1 Control Panel Overview

The printer features an LCD screen and intuitive buttons for easy operation.

4.2 Printing Documents and Photos

You can print from a computer, smartphone, or tablet via Wi-Fi. Ensure the printer is selected as the output device in your application's print dialogue.

4.3 Scanning Documents

Place the document face-down on the scanner glass. Use the Canon IJ Scan Utility on your computer or the Canon PRINT app on your mobile device to initiate scanning. You can save scanned documents to your device or cloud storage.

4.4 Copying Documents

Place the document face-down on the scanner glass. Press either the Black or Color Start button on the control panel to make a copy. You can make multiple copies by pressing the button repeatedly.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Replacing Ink Cartridges

When an ink cartridge is low or empty, an indicator light on the control panel will illuminate. Replace cartridges as follows:

  1. Ensure the printer is on.
  2. Open the front cover and the ink cartridge cover.
  3. Press down on the empty cartridge to release it, then pull it out.
  4. Unpack the new Canon PG-575 (Black) or CL-576 (Color) cartridge (or XL versions).
  5. Insert the new cartridge firmly into its slot until it clicks.
  6. Close the ink cartridge cover and then the front cover.

5.2 Cleaning the Printer
