Setup

Unpacking

1. Carefully remove all components from the packaging.
2. Check the contents against the 'Components' list to ensure all parts are present.
3. Remove any protective films or packaging materials from the unit and accessories.

Assembly

1. Insert the handle into the main body of the vacuum cleaner until it clicks securely into place.
2. Place the assembled vacuum cleaner onto the storage base.

Filling the Clean Water Tank

1. Locate the clean water tank, typically on the back or side of the main unit.
2. Remove the tank from the unit.
3. Open the tank cap and fill with clean tap water. For enhanced cleaning, add the recommended amount of Eureka cleaning solution (236 ml bottle included) to the water. Do not exceed the MAX fill line.
4. Securely close the tank cap and reinsert the tank into the vacuum cleaner until it clicks into place.

Operating Instructions

Powering On/Off

1. Plug the power cord into a suitable electrical outlet. The cord length is 7.5 meters, providing ample reach.
2. Press the Power button located on the handle to turn the unit ON. Press it again to turn OFF.

Cleaning Modes and Fingertip Controls

The Eureka NEW300 offers multi-floor cleaning capabilities with intuitive fingertip controls on the handle.

• Select the appropriate cleaning mode (e.g., Hard Floor, Area Rug) using the mode selection button on the handle.
• The vacuum will automatically adjust suction and water flow for optimal cleaning based on the selected mode.

Using the Spray Function

• To release cleaning solution onto the floor, press and hold the spray trigger located on the handle.
• Release the trigger to stop spraying. Use this function to tackle stubborn dirt or for deeper cleaning.

Cleaning Large Areas

The long power cord allows for extensive cleaning without frequent re-plugging.

• Maneuver the vacuum across the desired cleaning area. The brush roll is designed for edge-to-edge cleaning, reaching close to baseboards and into corners.
• Move the vacuum in a forward and backward motion for best results.

Maintenance

Self-Cleaning Function

1. After each use, place the vacuum cleaner on its storage base.
2. Ensure there is sufficient clean water in the clean water tank.
3. Press the self-cleaning button (usually indicated by a water drop or self-clean icon).
4. The vacuum will automatically rinse the brush roll and internal tubing. This process typically takes a few minutes.
5. Once complete, empty the dirty water tank.

Emptying the Dirty Water Tank

1. Turn off and unplug the vacuum cleaner.
2. Remove the dirty water tank from the main unit.
3. Open the tank and carefully pour out the dirty water. Note the integrated pet hair screen for easy removal of pet hair.
4. Rinse the tank thoroughly with clean water.
5. Allow the tank to air dry before reattaching it to the vacuum.

Cleaning the Brush Roll

1. Turn off and unplug the vacuum cleaner.
2. Remove the brush roll cover (refer to your specific model's diagram for release latches).
3. Carefully remove the brush roll.
4. Use the provided brushroll cleaning tool or a pair of scissors to remove any tangled hair or debris.
5. Rinse the brush roll under running water if necessary. Allow it to air dry completely before reinserting.

Cleaning the Filter

1. Turn off and unplug the vacuum cleaner.
2. Locate and remove the filter, usually found within or near the dirty water tank.
3. Tap the filter gently over a waste bin to remove loose debris.
4. If washable, rinse the filter under cool running water until clean.
5. Allow the filter to air dry completely for at least 24 hours before reinserting. Do not use the vacuum with a wet filter.

Storage

• Store the Eureka NEW300 on its storage base in a dry, cool place.
• Wrap the power cord neatly around the cord hooks on the back of the unit.
