Maintenance

- Cleaning: Wipe the radios with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
- Waterproof Seals: Ensure all port covers (e.g., charging port, speaker/microphone jack) are securely closed to maintain waterproof integrity.
- Battery Care: For rechargeable NiMH batteries, fully charge them before first use and after extended periods of storage. If using alkaline batteries, remove them if the radios will not be used for a long time to prevent leakage.
- Storage: Store radios in a cool, dry place when not in use.
Troubleshooting
If you experience issues with your LPX650 radios, try the following solutions:
- No Power: Check battery installation and ensure batteries are charged. Replace alkaline batteries if necessary.
- Poor Range/Static: Ensure radios are set to high power mode (if applicable). Check for obstructions between radios. Verify both radios are on the same channel and privacy code.
- Cannot Communicate: Confirm both radios are powered on, on the same channel, and using the same privacy code. Ensure the PTT button is fully pressed during transmission.
- Buttons Not Responding: Check if the Key Lock feature is activated. Unlock the keypad if necessary.
