Setup and Inflation

Your OlarHike Air Bed features a built-in electric pump for quick inflation. It also includes a manual valve for inflation or deflation without electricity.

Electric Inflation (220-240V)

  1. Unroll the air bed on a clean, flat surface, free from sharp objects.
  2. Locate the built-in electric pump on the side of the air bed.
  3. Open the pump compartment cover.
  4. Plug the power cord into a standard 220-240V wall outlet.
  5. Turn the pump dial to the "Inflate" position. The air bed will begin to inflate.
  6. Inflate until the bed is firm to the touch (approximately 2-5 minutes). Do not overinflate.
  7. Turn the pump dial to the "Off" position and unplug the power cord.
  8. Store the power cord neatly back into its compartment and close the cover securely.

Manual Inflation

In situations where electricity is unavailable, the air bed can be inflated using an external manual or battery-operated pump (not included).

  1. Locate the 2-in-1 manual valve on the air bed.
  2. Open the larger cap of the valve.
  3. Insert the nozzle of your external pump into the valve opening.
  4. Inflate the air bed to your desired firmness.
  5. Remove the pump nozzle and quickly close the larger cap to prevent air loss.

Operation and Usage

Once inflated, the OlarHike Single Air Bed is ready for use. For optimal comfort and longevity, consider the following:

  • Initial Stretch: New PVC material may stretch during the first few uses, causing the bed to feel softer. This is normal. A quick 1-minute top-up inflation after the first one or two nights of use is recommended to maintain desired firmness.
  • Daily Use: If using the air bed daily, a brief top-up inflation (approximately 1 minute) may be necessary to ensure consistent comfort and support.
  • Protection: Although the top surface is soft and durable, covering the air bed with a blanket or sheet is recommended for enhanced comfort and protection against wear.
  • Weight Distribution: Distribute weight evenly across the surface of the air bed.

Deflation and Storage

Proper deflation and storage will extend the life of your air bed.

Electric Deflation

  1. Ensure the air bed is clean and dry.
  2. Open the pump compartment cover and plug the power cord into a 220-240V wall outlet.
  3. Turn the pump dial to the "Deflate" position. The pump will actively remove air from the bed.
  4. Allow the pump to run until most of the air has been removed and the bed is flat.
  5. Turn the pump dial to "Off" and unplug the cord.
  6. Store the power cord and close the compartment cover.

Manual Deflation

To manually deflate or remove remaining air after electric deflation:

  1. Locate the 2-in-1 manual valve.
  2. Open the larger cap of the valve.
  3. Gently roll or press the air bed to expel the remaining air.
  4. Once deflated, close the valve cap securely.

Storage

  1. Ensure the air bed is completely deflated and dry before folding.
  2. Fold the air bed neatly to fit into the provided carrying bag.
  3. Store the air bed in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.

Maintenance

  • Cleaning: To clean the air bed, wipe it with a damp cloth and mild soap. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners. Ensure the bed is completely dry before storage.
  • Repair Patches: In case of a small puncture, use the provided repair patches. Clean the damaged area, apply the patch firmly, and allow it to cure for several hours before reinflating.
  • Regular Inspection: Periodically inspect the air bed for any signs of wear, damage, or leaks.

Troubleshooting

ProblemPossible CauseSolution
Air bed does not inflate or inflates slowly.
  • Power cord not properly plugged in.
  • Pump dial not set to "Inflate".
  • Manual valve cap is open.
  • Power outlet issue.
  • Ensure power cord is securely plugged into a working 220-240V outlet.
  • Turn the pump dial to the "Inflate" position.
  • Ensure the manual valve cap is closed.
  • Test the outlet with another device.
Air bed loses air or feels soft.
  • Natural stretching of new PVC material.
  • Temperature changes.
  • Valve not fully closed.
  • Small puncture or leak.
  • Perform a 1-minute top-up inflation. This is normal for new air beds.
  • Air expands and contracts with temperature. Top up as needed.
  • Ensure both the pump compartment cover and manual valve caps are securely closed.
  • Locate the leak (e.g., with soapy water) and use a repair patch.
Pump is running but no air is moving.
  • Pump dial not correctly set for inflate/deflate.
  • Obstruction in the pump's air intake/output.
  • Verify the pump dial is set to the correct function ("Inflate" or "Deflate").
  • Check for any debris blocking the pump's openings.
