  2. Ensure it is securely fastened before use.
  3. Dispose of the speculum after each use.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Cleaning the Camera Lens and Specula

  • Always use a new disposable speculum for each examination.
  • After use, carefully remove and discard the used speculum.
  • Gently wipe the camera lens with a soft, dry, lint-free cloth. For stubborn smudges, a slightly dampened cloth with isopropyl alcohol can be used, followed by a dry wipe. Ensure no liquid enters the device.
  • Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the device in water.

5.2 Battery Care

  • Recharge the battery when the low battery indicator appears.
  • Avoid completely draining the battery frequently to prolong its lifespan.
  • If storing the device for an extended period, charge it to about 50% every 3-6 months.

5.3 Storage

Store the otoscope in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Keep it in its original packaging or a protective case to prevent damage.
