- Fill the Water Tank:
- Ensure the appliance is unplugged from the power outlet.
- Detach the water tank from the main unit.
- Open the water inlet cap.
- Fill the tank with clean tap water up to the maximum fill line (approximately 6.76 fluid ounces). Do not overfill. Distilled or demineralized water is recommended to prevent mineral buildup.
- Close the water inlet cap securely and reattach the water tank to the main unit.
- Attach Accessories (Optional): If using the fabric brush attachment, align it with the steam outlet and press firmly until it clicks into place.
- Connect to Power: Plug the power cord into a suitable electrical outlet. The indicator light will illuminate, indicating the appliance is heating up.
- Pre-heating: The iron will heat up quickly, typically within 20 seconds. The indicator light may change or turn off once the desired temperature is reached and it's ready for steaming.
5. Operating Instructions
Using your Cecotec Ironhero 1800 Force for effective wrinkle removal and fabric care:
- Prepare Garment: Hang the garment on a hanger. Gently pull the fabric taut with one hand.
- Start Steaming: Hold the steam iron vertically, ensuring the soleplate is not touching the fabric directly unless specified for specific materials. Press the power button/steam trigger to release a continuous flow of steam.
- Steam Application: Move the steam iron slowly over the fabric, from top to bottom. The steam will penetrate the fibers, relaxing wrinkles. For stubborn wrinkles, pass over the area multiple times.
- Using the Fabric Brush (if attached): The brush attachment helps to open fabric weaves for better steam penetration, especially useful for heavier fabrics, and can also remove lint.
- Finishing: Once steaming is complete, release the steam trigger. Allow the garment to cool and dry completely before wearing or storing to prevent re-wrinkling.
- Power Off: Unplug the appliance from the power outlet after each use.

6. Maintenance and Cleaning
Regular cleaning and maintenance will ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your steam iron.
- Before Cleaning: Always unplug the appliance and allow it to cool down completely before cleaning or storing.
- Empty Water Tank: Remove the water tank and empty any remaining water.
- Clean Exterior: Wipe the exterior of the steam iron with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Clean Soleplate: If the ceramic soleplate becomes dirty, wipe it gently with a damp cloth. Do not use metallic scouring pads or harsh chemicals.
- Descaling (Recommended): Depending on water hardness in your area, mineral deposits may build up over time. To descale, fill the water tank with a mixture of 50% white vinegar and 50% water. Run the steamer until the tank is empty. Repeat with clean water to rinse. Perform this process monthly or as needed.
- Storage: Store the steam iron in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Ensure the water tank is empty before storage.
