4. Setup
- Unpack: Carefully remove all packaging materials and ensure all components are present.
- Initial Cleaning: Before first use, wash the portable thermos, permanent filter, and filter basket with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry. Wipe the exterior of the main unit with a damp cloth.
- First Brew Cycle (Cleaning): Fill the water reservoir with clean water up to the MAX level. Do not add coffee. Place the filter basket with the permanent filter (or a paper filter) in position. Place the portable thermos under the anti-drip nozzle. Plug in the coffee maker and press the power button to start a brewing cycle. Allow the cycle to complete. Discard the water. This cleans the internal components.
- Positioning: Place the coffee maker on a stable, flat, heat-resistant surface, away from water sources and heat.
5. Operating Instructions
Making Coffee:
- Fill Water Reservoir: Open the lid and fill the water reservoir with fresh, cold water. The reservoir has a window to indicate the water level. Do not exceed the 420ml MAX fill line.
- Add Coffee Grounds: Place the permanent filter into the filter basket. If using a paper filter, place it inside the permanent filter or directly into the filter basket. Add your desired amount of ground coffee using the provided measuring spoon. A general guideline is one level spoon per cup (approximately 7g per 120ml). Adjust to taste.
- Position Thermos: Ensure the portable thermos is correctly placed under the anti-drip nozzle.
- Start Brewing: Plug the power cord into a suitable electrical outlet (230V). Press the power button. The indicator light will illuminate, and the brewing process will begin.
- Brewing Complete: Coffee will drip into the portable thermos. The machine will automatically stop brewing once the water reservoir is empty. The indicator light will turn off.
- Serve: Carefully remove the portable thermos. The anti-drip feature prevents coffee from dripping once the thermos is removed. Enjoy your fresh coffee.

6. Cleaning and Maintenance
Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your coffee maker.
- Unplug and Cool: Always unplug the appliance from the power outlet and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
- Clean Filter and Basket: Remove the filter basket and permanent filter. Discard used coffee grounds. Wash the filter and basket with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly. The permanent filter can be cleaned under running water.
- Clean Portable Thermos: Wash the portable thermos with warm, soapy water and rinse thoroughly. It is not dishwasher safe.
- Clean Exterior: Wipe the exterior of the coffee maker with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scourers. Never immerse the main unit in water or any other liquid.
- Descaling: Over time, mineral deposits (limescale) can build up in the coffee maker. Descale regularly (e.g., every 2-3 months, or more often in hard water areas) using a commercial descaling solution or a mixture of white vinegar and water (1 part vinegar to 2 parts water). Run a brewing cycle with the descaling solution, then run several cycles with clean water to rinse thoroughly.
