4. Setup and Installation
Follow these steps for proper installation of your shower column:
- Prepare the Installation Area: Ensure the wall surface is clean and suitable for mounting. The distance between the wall and the center of the shower head should be 39.5 to 44.5 cm.
- Connect the Thermostatic Mixer: Connect the hot and cold water lines to the thermostatic mixer. The standard distance between the hot and cold water inlets is 15 ± 1 cm. Ensure hot water is connected to the left inlet (marked 'H' or red) and cold water to the right inlet (marked 'C' or blue). Incorrect connection will prevent the thermostatic function from working correctly.

Figure 2: Diagram illustrating the correct connection of hot and cold water lines to the thermostatic mixer, emphasizing the importance of correct orientation.
- Assemble the Shower Column: The upper shower column must be inserted into the lower shower column to a depth of 5 to 7 cm to prevent water leakage. The upper column has a diameter of 20 mm, and the lower column has a diameter of 24 mm.
- Mount the Shower Column: The shower column can be adjusted in height from 74 to 114 cm. The upper wall bracket has an adjustable height range of 66 to 105 cm, making it universally applicable for existing holes and small spaces. This adjustable bracket allows for installation, disassembly, transformation, and renovation without causing cracks or holes in tiles or walls.
- Install Shower Head and Hand Shower: Attach the 25cm round rain shower head. It can rotate ±30° and 360° for optimal positioning. Connect the 150 cm shower hose to the hand shower and the thermostatic mixer. The hand shower holder is height-adjustable and can rotate 360°.

5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Thermostatic Mixer Operation
The thermostatic mixer allows you to set and maintain a desired water temperature. The temperature adjustment range is 20°C to 53°C.
- Temperature Control: Rotate the temperature knob to adjust the water temperature.
- 38°C Safety Stop: The mixer includes a safety button at 38°C. To exceed this temperature, press and hold the safety button while rotating the knob. This prevents accidental scalding.

5.2 Water Flow Control and Diverter
The diverter allows you to switch between the overhead rain shower and the hand shower.
- Flow Control: Use the other knob on the mixer to turn the water flow on/off and adjust its intensity.
- Switching Shower Modes: The brass diverter allows you to easily switch between the fixed shower head and the hand shower. Press the button to toggle between the two outputs.

5.3 Rain Shower Head
The 25cm round rain shower head provides a wide and even water distribution. It features anti-limescale silicone nozzles for easy cleaning and resistance to obstruction. The shower head can be rotated and tilted to your preferred angle.

6. Maintenance
Regular cleaning and maintenance will ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your Görbach TD25 Shower Column.
- Cleaning the Surface: Clean the chrome surfaces with a soft cloth and mild soap or a non-abrasive bathroom cleaner. Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive sponges, or cleaners containing alcohol, ammonia, or bleach, as these can damage the finish.
- Cleaning Shower Head Nozzles: The rain shower head and hand shower feature anti-limescale silicone nozzles. To remove limescale buildup, gently rub the nozzles with your fingers or a soft brush. For stubborn deposits, use a descaling solution specifically designed for bathroom fixtures, following the product instructions.
- Hose Maintenance: Periodically check the shower hose for any signs of wear or damage. Ensure it is not kinked during use or storage.
7. Troubleshooting
If you encounter any issues with your shower column, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Water temperature is inconsistent or not reaching desired setting. | Incorrect hot/cold water connection; thermostatic cartridge issue; insufficient water pressure. | Verify hot and cold water connections are correct. Check water pressure. If problem persists, contact support. |
| Low water pressure from shower heads. | Limescale buildup in nozzles; clogged filter in mixer; low household water pressure. | Clean shower head nozzles. Check and clean filters in the thermostatic mixer. Consult a plumber if household water pressure is consistently low. |
| Water leakage from connections. | Loose connections; damaged seals/washers; improper assembly of shower column sections. | Tighten all connections. Replace any damaged seals or washers. Ensure the upper and lower shower column sections are inserted correctly (5-7 cm depth). |
| Diverter not switching properly. | Internal mechanism obstruction or wear. | Ensure no debris is obstructing the diverter button. If it remains stuck or faulty, contact support. |
