1. Important Safety Information
Always observe basic safety precautions when using electrical tools to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and personal injury. Read all instructions carefully before operating this pole saw.
- Personal Protective Equipment: Always wear eye protection (safety glasses), hearing protection, head protection, heavy-duty gloves, and non-slip footwear.
- Work Area Safety: Keep the work area clean and well-lit. Do not operate power tools in explosive atmospheres, such as in the presence of flammable liquids, gases, or dust. Keep bystanders, children, and pets away while operating the tool.
- Electrical Safety: Avoid body contact with earthed or grounded surfaces. Do not expose power tools to rain or wet conditions.
- Tool Use and Care: Do not force the tool. Use the correct tool for your application. Disconnect the battery pack from the tool before making any adjustments, changing accessories, or storing power tools. Store idle tools out of the reach of children.
- Battery Tool Use and Care: Recharge only with the charger specified by the manufacturer. Use power tools only with specifically designated battery packs.
- Specific Pole Saw Safety: Keep all parts of the body away from the saw chain when the pole saw is operating. Ensure proper footing and balance. Do not overreach. Be aware of falling branches.

3. Setup
3.1 Assembly
The pole saw features a split-shaft design for convenient storage and transport. To assemble, align the two shaft sections and push them together until they click securely into place. Ensure the connection is firm before use.
3.2 Battery Installation
This tool is sold without a battery and charger. Use only SENIX X2 20 Volt Max* batteries (sold separately). To install the battery, slide the battery pack into the tool's battery port until it locks into place. To remove, press the release button and slide the battery out.

3.3 Oiling System Preparation
The pole saw is equipped with an automatic oiling system. Before first use, and regularly thereafter, fill the oil tank with appropriate bar and chain oil. The 2.0 oz. built-in oil tank has an oil level window to monitor the oil supply. Ensure the oil cap is securely tightened after filling.
3.4 Shaft Length Adjustment
The pole saw features a 7.5-foot telescoping handle for extended reach. To adjust the length, loosen the tool-free adjustment collar, extend or retract the shaft to the desired length, and then securely tighten the collar. Ensure the shaft is locked firmly in position before operation.

4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Starting and Stopping
To start the pole saw, ensure the battery is fully charged and installed. Press and hold the safety lock-off button, then squeeze the trigger switch. To stop, release the trigger switch.
4.2 Cutting Techniques
- Branch Cutting: Position the saw chain against the branch. Allow the saw to reach full speed before engaging the wood. Apply light, steady pressure. Avoid forcing the saw.
- Cutting Capacity: The 8-inch bar and chain with 5.2 m/s chain speed is designed for smooth cutting of limbs and small branches up to 16-inch diameter.
- Articulating Head: The multi-angle adjustment feature allows you to position the cutting head for optimal cutting angles, especially in hard-to-reach areas. Adjust the head angle before starting the saw.

Figure 4.1: The articulating head allows for various cutting angles.
4.3 Shoulder Strap Use
Utilize the included shoulder strap to distribute the tool's weight and reduce operator fatigue, especially during extended use or when reaching high areas. Adjust the strap for a comfortable and secure fit.
5. Maintenance
5.1 Bar and Chain Oiling
The automatic oiling system provides continuous lubrication. Regularly check the oil level through the oil level window and refill as needed with quality bar and chain oil. Proper lubrication is crucial for chain longevity and cutting performance.
5.2 Chain Tension and Sharpening
Periodically check the chain tension. A properly tensioned chain should be snug but still able to be pulled freely around the bar by hand. Refer to the chain manufacturer's instructions for sharpening guidelines or replace the chain when dull or damaged.
5.3 Cleaning and Storage
After each use, disconnect the battery and clean the pole saw. Remove sawdust, debris, and sap from the bar, chain, and motor housing. Use a damp cloth for cleaning. Store the pole saw in a dry, secure location, out of reach of children. Use the provided bar and chain cover to protect the cutting components during storage.
6. Troubleshooting
- Tool Does Not Start: Ensure the battery is fully charged and properly inserted. Check if the safety lock-off button is pressed before squeezing the trigger.
- Poor Cutting Performance: Check the chain tension. A loose or overly tight chain can affect performance. Ensure the chain is sharp and free of damage. Verify the oil tank has sufficient bar and chain oil.
- Excessive Vibration: Stop the tool immediately. Check for loose components, a damaged chain, or an improperly installed bar.
- Oil Leakage: Ensure the oil tank cap is securely tightened. Small amounts of oil leakage when stored are normal due to the automatic oiling system. Store the tool with the bar and chain cover on and on a surface that can tolerate oil.
