5. Maintenance
5.1 General Cleaning
After each use, clean the saw to remove sawdust, debris, and sap. Use a brush or compressed air. Ensure the battery is removed before cleaning.
5.2 Bar and Chain Lubrication
The automatic oiler ensures continuous lubrication during operation. Regularly check the translucent oil reservoir and refill as needed to prevent overheating and premature wear of the bar and chain.
5.3 Chain Sharpening and Replacement
A sharp chain is essential for safe and efficient cutting. If the saw is cutting slowly or producing fine dust instead of chips, the chain may need sharpening or replacement. Refer to a qualified service technician or the full product manual for detailed instructions on chain maintenance.
6. Troubleshooting
- Saw Not Starting:
- Check if the battery is fully charged and properly inserted.
- Ensure the safety trigger is pressed before squeezing the main trigger.
- Poor Cutting Performance:
- Check the chain tension and adjust if too loose or too tight.
- Verify the bar and chain oil reservoir is full.
- Inspect the chain for dullness or damage; sharpen or replace if necessary.
