5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Optimal Panel Positioning

For maximum efficiency, position the solar panel directly facing the sun. Utilize the adjustable kickstands to angle the panel appropriately throughout the day as the sun's position changes. Avoid any shading on the panel surface, as even partial shading can significantly reduce power output.

5.2 Monitoring Charging

Monitor the charging status and power output through your connected power station's display or a compatible solar charge controller's interface. This allows you to verify proper operation and adjust the panel's position if needed.

6. Maintenance

6.1 Cleaning the Solar Panel

Regularly clean the surface of the solar panel to ensure optimal performance. Use a soft, damp cloth to wipe away dust, dirt, and debris. Avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals that could damage the ETFE lamination.

6.2 Storage

When not in use, fold the solar panel and secure it using the integrated straps. Store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. The durable construction and IP67 rating provide protection against environmental elements, but proper storage extends product lifespan.

7. Troubleshooting

7.1 Low Power Output

  • Check Panel Angle: Ensure the panel is angled directly towards the sun. Adjust kickstands for optimal exposure.
  • Inspect for Shading: Verify that no objects (trees, buildings, etc.) are casting shadows on the panel surface.
  • Clean Panel Surface: Remove any dirt, dust, or debris from the solar cells.
  • Verify Connections: Ensure all cables are securely connected to the solar panel and the power station/charge controller.

7.2 No Charging

  • Confirm Sunlight: The panel requires direct sunlight to generate power. Overcast conditions will significantly reduce or prevent charging.
  • Check All Connections: Disconnect and reconnect all cables to ensure a proper connection.
  • Power Station Input Limits: Confirm that your power station's input specifications are compatible with the solar panel's output.
  • Cable Integrity: Inspect cables for any visible damage or kinks.
