7. Maintenance
Regular maintenance will help preserve the appearance and functionality of your light fixture.
- Cleaning: Ensure the power is off before cleaning. For the metal frame, wipe with a soft, dry cloth. For the crystal components, use a soft, damp cloth with a mild glass cleaner, or a specialized crystal cleaner. Avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals that may damage the finish or crystals.
- Bulb Replacement: Always turn off the power before replacing bulbs. Allow old bulbs to cool before removing. Replace with E12 base bulbs, ensuring the wattage does not exceed 60W per bulb.
- Inspection: Periodically check all connections and mounting hardware to ensure they remain secure.
8. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your fixture, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Light does not turn on. | No power to the fixture. Loose wire connections. Faulty bulb. | Check circuit breaker and wall switch. Ensure all wire connections are secure (power off first). Replace bulb with a new one. |
| Light flickers. | Loose bulb. Incorrect bulb type for dimmer. Faulty dimmer switch. | Tighten bulb. Ensure dimmable bulbs are used with a dimmer switch. Consult an electrician to check or replace the dimmer switch. |
| Dimming does not work. | Non-dimmable bulbs. Incompatible dimmer switch. | Use only dimmable E12 bulbs. Ensure the dimmer switch is compatible with LED or incandescent bulbs, depending on your bulb type. |
