4. Setup and Installation

4.1 Pre-Installation Checks

4.2 Mounting the Unit
The unit features a monobloc structure made of AISI430 stainless steel. Securely mount the range hood to the wall using appropriate mounting hardware (not supplied). Ensure the unit is level.

4.3 Connecting the Exhaust System
Connect the range hood to your ventilation system. The unit is designed for an extraction volume of 2400 m³/h. Ensure all connections are sealed to prevent air leaks.

4.4 Electrical Connection
Connect the motor and regulator unit to the main power supply. Ensure all electrical work complies with relevant safety standards.
5. Operating Instructions
The GGM Gastro KLS209M range hood is equipped with an integrated motor and regulator for controlling extraction power, and interior lighting.
5.1 Control Panel
The control panel allows you to adjust the fan speed and activate the lighting.

5.2 Fan Operation
- Press the '+' button to increase fan speed.
- Press the '-' button to decrease fan speed.
- The digital display will show the current fan speed setting.
5.3 Lighting Operation
- Press the light bulb button to turn the interior lighting on or off.

6. Maintenance and Cleaning
Regular maintenance and cleaning are crucial for the longevity and optimal performance of your range hood. The unit is designed for easy cleaning.
6.1 Cleaning the Filters
The range hood is equipped with 18/10 stainless steel grease labyrinth filters. These filters should be cleaned regularly, depending on usage, to prevent grease buildup and maintain extraction efficiency.
- Remove the filters by sliding them out of their slots.
- Clean the filters with hot water and a degreasing agent, or in a dishwasher if suitable.
- Ensure filters are completely dry before re-inserting them.

6.2 Cleaning the Grease Collection Channel
The range hood features a hermetic and anti-drip grease collection channel with drain valves. Regularly empty and clean this channel to prevent overflow and maintain hygiene.
- Open the drain taps to empty collected grease into a suitable container.
- Clean the channel interior with a suitable degreaser and warm water.
- Ensure drain taps are securely closed after cleaning.
6.3 Exterior Cleaning
The exterior of the range hood has a Scotch-Brite satin finish. Clean with a soft cloth and a mild, non-abrasive stainless steel cleaner. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive pads that could damage the finish.
7. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your range hood, refer to the following common troubleshooting steps:
- No Power: Check the circuit breaker and ensure the appliance is properly plugged in.
- Weak Extraction: Verify that filters are clean and not clogged. Check for obstructions in the exhaust ducting.
- Unusual Noise: Ensure all mounting screws are tight and filters are correctly seated. Inspect the fan for any foreign objects.
