Setup and Operation

The Septpenta USB Bluetooth Transmitter Receiver is designed for plug-and-play operation, requiring no driver installation for compatible devices. Ensure both the 3.5mm audio cable (if used) and the USB-A connector are properly connected before attempting to pair your Bluetooth device.

1. TX (Transmit) Mode

In TX mode, the device transmits audio from a non-Bluetooth source (like a TV, PC, or MP3 player) to a Bluetooth-enabled receiving device (like Bluetooth headphones or speakers). This mode supports connection to one Bluetooth device at a time.

  1. Connect the Device: Plug the USB-A connector of the transmitter into a USB port on your audio source (e.g., TV, PC, desktop). If your audio source does not have a USB port for power, you can use a standard USB wall adapter (not included).
  2. Connect Audio (if necessary): If your audio source outputs audio via a 3.5mm jack, connect one end of the included 3.5mm audio cable to the 3.5mm audio output of your source and the other end to the 3.5mm audio input on the Bluetooth transmitter.
  3. Switch to TX Mode: Ensure the device is in TX mode. The device typically auto-detects or has a switch/button to toggle between TX and RX. Look for the "TRANSMIT" indicator.
  4. Pair with Bluetooth Receiver: Put your Bluetooth headphones or speaker into pairing mode. The transmitter will automatically search for and connect to nearby Bluetooth devices. Once connected, audio from your source will be streamed to your Bluetooth receiver.

2. RX (Receive) Mode

In RX mode, the device receives audio wirelessly from a Bluetooth-enabled source (like a smartphone or tablet) and outputs it to a non-Bluetooth audio system (like car stereo, home sound system, or wired headphones). This mode supports connection to two Bluetooth devices simultaneously.

  1. Connect the Device: Plug the USB-A connector of the receiver into a USB port for power (e.g., car USB port, wall adapter, PC USB port).
  2. Connect Audio Output: Connect one end of the included 3.5mm audio cable to the 3.5mm audio output on the Bluetooth receiver and the other end to the 3.5mm audio input of your non-Bluetooth audio system (e.g., car stereo AUX input, home speaker system).
  3. Switch to RX Mode: Ensure the device is in RX mode. Look for the "RECEIVE" indicator.
  4. Pair with Bluetooth Source: On your smartphone or other Bluetooth audio source, search for Bluetooth devices and select the Septpenta receiver (it may appear as "BT-Receiver" or similar). Once connected, audio from your source will play through your connected audio system.
  5. Multi-device Connection (RX Mode Only): To connect a second device in RX mode, disconnect the first device from the receiver's Bluetooth settings on your source device. Then, pair the second device. Once the second device is connected, you can reconnect the first device. The receiver will remember both.

Note: Phone calls are supported in RX mode only, not TX mode.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your Septpenta USB Bluetooth Transmitter Receiver, please refer to the following common solutions:

  • No Sound or Buzzing Sound:
    • Ensure all cables (USB for power, 3.5mm audio) are securely connected.
    • Verify the device is in the correct mode (TX or RX) for your intended use.
    • Check the volume levels on both the source device and the receiving device.
    • Try a different USB power source or 3.5mm audio cable.
    • Move the device closer to the paired Bluetooth device to reduce interference.
  • Cannot Pair with Device:
    • Ensure the transmitter/receiver is in pairing mode (often indicated by a blinking light).
    • Make sure your target Bluetooth device (headphones, speaker, phone) is also in pairing mode.
    • Turn off and on both the transmitter/receiver and the target Bluetooth device.
    • Clear the Bluetooth pairing history on your source device and try pairing again.
    • Ensure no other Bluetooth devices are interfering with the pairing process.
  • Short Connection Distance:
    • Ensure there are no major obstructions (walls, large metal objects) between the transmitter/receiver and the paired device.
    • Avoid placing the device near other wireless devices (Wi-Fi routers, cordless phones) that may cause interference.
