4. Setup and Installation

4.1 EXO-COM Installation

The EXO-COM system is designed for straightforward installation into your AT960 helmet. The main unit clips into a mount that attaches to the side of your helmet. Speakers and microphones are then routed inside the helmet.

  1. Mounting the Unit: The EXO-COM unit clips into a base that can be attached to the helmet shell. This base allows for easy removal of the main unit for charging without needing to bring the entire helmet indoors.
  2. Speaker Placement: Position the 40mm speakers in the designated speaker pockets inside the helmet for optimal audio.
  3. Microphone Installation: Two types of microphones are provided. Choose the appropriate microphone for your helmet type (e.g., boom microphone for modular/open-face, wired microphone for full-face) and secure it.
  4. Wiring: Carefully route all wires under the helmet liner to avoid discomfort and ensure a neat installation.

4.2 Initial Charging
