Setup

The Weber Lumin Electric Grill comes largely pre-assembled for quick setup. Follow these steps to prepare your grill for use:

1. Unboxing: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. The grill includes the main unit, two cooking grates, a power control unit, and a grease drip tray.
2. Install Cooking Grates: Place the two porcelain-enameled cast iron cooking grates onto the heating element inside the grill. Ensure they are seated properly.
3. Connect Power Control Unit: Slide the power control unit into the designated slot on the side of the grill until it clicks securely into place.
4. Insert Grease Drip Tray: Slide the aluminum grease drip tray into the front-access slot beneath the cooking chamber.
5. Power Connection: Plug the power cord from the control unit into a standard 120V outdoor electrical outlet.

Operating Instructions

The Weber Lumin offers multiple cooking modes controlled by a single knob:

• Temperature Control: The control knob allows you to select various heat settings, including high heat for searing (over 600°F), and lower settings for other functions.
• Searing: Turn the control knob to the highest setting for optimal searing. The grill's high heat capability ensures excellent sear marks.
• Steaming: To steam, remove one of the cooking grates and place the dedicated steaming tray (part of the versatility kit, sold separately) in its place. Add water to the tray and place food on the perforated insert. Close the lid and select the steam setting.
• Smoking: For smoke infusion, use the smoking tray (part of the versatility kit, sold separately). Place wood chips in the dry reservoir of the tray, position it on the grill, and select the smoke setting.
• Grill From Frozen: The steam system can also thaw frozen foods while the grill preheats. Once thawed, switch to the searing function to cook.
• Keep Warm: After cooking, the grill can keep food warm. Place cooked food in appropriate dishes (e.g., chafing dishes from the versatility kit) on the grill and select the warm setting. The low-dome lid helps maintain temperature efficiently.
