Setup and Connectivity
The Newmen GM840 keyboard supports three connection modes: wired, 2.4G wireless, and Bluetooth. Ensure the mode switch on the back of the keyboard is set to your desired connection type.
1. Wired Connection
- Locate the USB-C port on the keyboard.
- Connect the provided USB-C cable to the keyboard and the other end to an available USB port on your computer.
- The keyboard will be automatically recognized and ready for use.
2. 2.4G Wireless Connection
- Locate the 2.4G USB receiver (dongle) in the keyboard's storage slot or packaging.
- Plug the 2.4G USB receiver into an available USB port on your computer.
- Set the mode switch on the keyboard to 2.4G mode.
- The keyboard should connect automatically. If not, press Fn + R to initiate pairing.
3. Bluetooth Connection
The keyboard can connect to up to three Bluetooth devices simultaneously.
- Set the mode switch on the keyboard to Bluetooth mode.
- To enter pairing mode, press and hold Fn + Q, Fn + W, or Fn + E for 3-5 seconds until the corresponding key (Q, W, or E) flashes rapidly. This indicates the keyboard is ready to pair.
- On your device (computer, smartphone, tablet), open Bluetooth settings and search for "Newmen GM840".
- Select the keyboard to pair. The corresponding key (Q, W, or E) will stop flashing once connected.
