2. Safety Information
Please observe the following safety precautions to prevent accidents, injury, or damage to property. Failure to follow these instructions may result in electric shock, fire, or other hazards.
- Electrical Requirements: Ensure your home's electrical system provides 200V to the breaker. If not, installation is not possible. A dedicated breaker for the IH cooking heater is required; if absent, additional wiring work will be necessary.
- Gas Stove Replacement: If replacing an existing gas stove, professional gas shut-off and dedicated electrical wiring work are mandatory. The customer is responsible for arranging gas shut-off with their contracted gas company.
- Appliance Compatibility: Confirm the model name of your current appliance, typically found on its information sticker, to ensure compatibility with the new unit.
- Installation Services: Damages arising from sales or installation services are exempt from our responsibility, except in cases of intentional or gross negligence on our part.
- Overheat Prevention: The unit is equipped with automatic overheat prevention for both cooking zones and the grill. Do not obstruct ventilation openings.
- Cookware: Use only iron or stainless steel cookware compatible with IH heating. Non-compatible cookware may not heat or could damage the unit.

3. Product Overview
The Hitachi HT-M60S-S is a 60cm wide built-in IH cooking heater designed for modern kitchens. It features a sleek silver finish and offers efficient cooking with advanced safety features.

4. Setup and Installation
The installation of this built-in IH cooking heater requires professional expertise. Please follow the general flow and standard installation procedures outlined below.
4.1. Installation Process Flow
- Order Product: Place your order for the IH cooking heater.
- Reply to Hearing Sheet: A hearing sheet will be sent to your registered email address after your order. Please complete and return it to confirm your home's conditions and desired installation schedule.
- Schedule Confirmation: You will be contacted via email to confirm the installation date.
- Product Delivery: The product will be delivered to your location by the day before the scheduled installation.
- Inspect Product: Before installation, verify the packaging and product condition upon delivery.
- On-site Installation: A technician will visit to perform the installation.

4.2. Standard Installation Work Details
- Product Delivery: Delivery of the IH cooking heater by the day before installation.
- Removal of Existing Unit: Disassembly and removal of your existing built-in IH cooking heater. (Note: Disposal of the old unit is the responsibility of the customer. Please contact your local municipality for disposal procedures.)
- New Unit Installation: Unpacking and installation of the new IH cooking heater.
- Countertop Cleaning: Cleaning of the countertop area around the installation.
- Test Run and Explanation: A test run of the newly installed unit and an explanation of its operation and handling.
Important Considerations:
- If replacing a gas stove, gas shut-off work and dedicated electrical wiring work are required.
- This IH cooking heater cannot be combined with a gas oven. It is only compatible with a built-in electric oven range.

4.3. Additional Charges
Additional charges may apply if materials not included with the product are required, or for specific types of work. These charges are to be paid directly to the installation technician.

5. Operating Instructions
This section provides general guidance on operating your IH cooking heater. Refer to the control panel and specific indicators for precise operation.
5.1. Powering On and Off
- To power on, press the main power button.
- To power off, press the main power button again. The unit will automatically shut off after a period of inactivity (auto-off timer).
5.2. Using IH Cooking Zones
- Place compatible cookware (iron or stainless steel) centrally on the desired IH zone.
- Select the IH zone and adjust the power level using the dedicated controls. The left and right IH zones offer 8 power levels, from 100W equivalent to 3.0kW.
- The unit features automatic detection for cookware presence and type. If no pot is detected or an incompatible pot is used, heating will not start or will stop automatically.
5.3. Using the Radiant Heater
- The central heater is a radiant type. Place cookware on the zone.
- Select the central heater and adjust the power level. It offers 3 power levels, from 300W equivalent to 1.2kW.
5.4. Using the Grill
- The unit includes a waterless double-sided grill.
- Place food in the grill pan and slide it into the grill compartment.
- Select the grill function and choose one of the 3 manual power levels (270W equivalent to 700W equivalent).
- Monitor food during grilling to prevent overcooking.
5.5. Safety Features During Operation
- No Pot Automatic Stop: Heating stops if no pot is detected on an IH zone.
- Small Metal Object Detection: Heating stops if small metal objects are detected on an IH zone.
- Warped Frying Pan Detection: Heating stops if a warped frying pan is detected, preventing uneven heating and potential hazards.
- Auto-Off Timer: The unit automatically shuts off after a preset period of continuous operation without user input.
- Overheat Prevention: Automatic shutdown occurs if cooking zones or the grill reach excessively high temperatures.
6. Maintenance
Regular cleaning and maintenance ensure the longevity and safe operation of your IH cooking heater.
6.1. Cooktop Cleaning
- Allow the cooktop to cool completely before cleaning.
- Wipe the ceramic glass surface with a soft cloth dampened with mild detergent. For stubborn stains, use a specialized ceramic cooktop cleaner.
- Avoid abrasive cleaners, scouring pads, or sharp objects that can scratch the surface.
6.2. Grill Cleaning
- After each use, allow the grill to cool.
- Remove the grill pan and rack. Wash them with warm, soapy water.
