Setup and Assembly

Your DK400 electric bike arrives 85% pre-installed. The remaining assembly steps are straightforward and can be completed with the included tools and this manual.

Assembly Steps:

  1. Install the Front Wheel: Carefully align the front wheel with the fork and secure it using the quick-release mechanism or axle nuts. Ensure the brake rotor is correctly positioned within the caliper.
  2. Attach the Front Fender: Mount the front fender to the fork using the provided screws and brackets.
  3. Install the Kickstand: Secure the kickstand to the designated mounting point on the bike frame.
  4. Adjust and Secure Handlebars: Insert the handlebar stem into the fork tube and tighten the bolts. Adjust the handlebar angle for comfortable riding.
  5. Attach the Pedals: Identify the left (L) and right (R) pedals. Thread the pedals into the crank arms (left pedal counter-clockwise, right pedal clockwise) and tighten securely.
  6. Charge the Battery: Before your first ride, fully charge the removable 48V/15Ah Li-Ion battery.

Operating Your Electric Bike

The SMARTRAVEL DK400 offers versatile riding options to suit your preferences and terrain.

Powering On/Off:

  • Insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the 'ON' position to power on the bike.

  • To power off, turn the key to the 'OFF' position.

Riding Modes:

The DK400 features 3 riding modes and 5 levels of pedal assistance:

  • Pure Electric Mode: Use the throttle for propulsion without pedaling. Range: 26+ miles.
  • Pedal Assist (PAS) Mode: The motor provides assistance as you pedal. Choose from 5 levels of assistance. Range: 45+ miles.
  • Normal Bike Mode: Ride the bike like a traditional bicycle without motor assistance.
