This manual provides detailed instructions for installation, operation, and maintenance to help you get the most out of your new doorbell system.
What's in the Box
Your Strex Wireless Doorbell kit includes the following components:
- 1 x Wireless Doorbell Button (Transmitter)
- 2 x Plug-in Receivers
- 1 x 12V 23A Battery (pre-installed in transmitter)
- Mounting Hardware (Adhesive strips, screws, wall anchors)
- 1 x Small Screwdriver (for battery compartment)
- 1 x User Manual

Setup and Installation
The Strex Wireless Doorbell is designed for easy, plug-and-play installation.
1. Receiver Placement
Plug each receiver into a standard wall outlet in your desired locations. Ensure they are within the effective range of the doorbell button (up to 300 meters in open field, 150 meters indoors).
2. Doorbell Button Installation
The doorbell button can be mounted using either the provided adhesive strips or screws.
- Method 1: Adhesive Mounting
- Clean the mounting surface thoroughly to ensure it is dry and free of dust or grease.
- Peel off the protective film from one side of the adhesive strip and attach it firmly to the back of the doorbell button.
- Peel off the protective film from the other side of the adhesive strip.
- Press the doorbell button firmly onto the desired mounting location (e.g., door frame, wall) for at least 30 seconds.
- Method 2: Screw Mounting
- Open the doorbell button casing using the provided screwdriver to access the mounting holes.
- Mark the positions for the drill holes on your desired mounting surface.
- Drill holes and insert the wall anchors if mounting on masonry or drywall.
- Align the doorbell button with the holes and secure it with the provided screws.
- Close the doorbell button casing.

3. Pairing (if necessary)
The doorbell button and receivers are pre-paired at the factory. If pairing is lost or you wish to add more components, follow these steps:
- Plug in the receiver.
- Press and hold the volume button on the receiver for 5 seconds until it emits a 'ding' sound and the LED indicator flashes.
- Immediately press the doorbell button. The receiver will chime, indicating successful pairing.
Operating Instructions
Changing Melodies
Your Strex doorbell offers 58 different melodies. To change the melody:
- Press the 'Melody Selection' button (usually a musical note icon) on the side of the receiver to cycle through the available tunes.
- Once you hear a melody you like, stop pressing the button. The receiver will save this as the current melody.
Adjusting Volume
The receivers have 5 adjustable volume levels, ranging from 0dB (mute) to 115dB.
- Press the 'Volume' button (usually a speaker icon) on the side of the receiver to cycle through the volume levels.
- Each press will increase or decrease the volume. Continue pressing until you reach your desired level.

Maintenance
Battery Replacement (Doorbell Button)
The doorbell button is powered by a 12V 23A battery, which typically lasts up to 3 years. When the button no longer lights up or the signal becomes weak, it's time to replace the battery.
- Using the small screwdriver provided, carefully open the casing of the doorbell button.
- Remove the old 12V 23A battery.
- Insert a new 12V 23A battery, ensuring the correct polarity (+/-).
- Close the casing securely.
Cleaning
Wipe the doorbell button and receivers with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the units in water.
Troubleshooting
- No Sound from Receiver:
- Ensure the receiver is properly plugged into a live power outlet.
- Check the volume level; it might be set to 0dB (mute).
- Re-pair the doorbell button with the receiver (refer to 'Pairing' section).
- Replace the battery in the doorbell button.
- Doorbell Button Not Working:
- Replace the battery in the doorbell button.
- Ensure the button is not obstructed or damaged.
- Short Range or Intermittent Signal:
- Relocate the receiver closer to the doorbell button.
- Avoid placing receivers near large metal objects, thick walls, or other electronic devices that may cause interference.
- Ensure the battery in the doorbell button is not low.
