3. Setup Guide
Follow these steps to set up and activate your KINGBOLEN EDIAG device:
- Download the App: Search for the "EDIAG" app on the Google Play Store (for Android) or the Apple App Store (for iOS) and install it on your smartphone.
- Register & Log In: Open the app and create an account or log in if you already have one.
- Activate Device: In the app, activate your EDIAG device by entering the serial number and activation code found in the product packaging.

It can read and clear over 77 Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) across various vehicle brands. The Auto VIN feature automatically identifies your vehicle for quicker diagnostics.

4.4 ECU Coding
ECU Coding allows you to modify the vehicle's control module after repairing or replacing components. This function is recommended for use with Android systems, as iOS currently does not support it.

5. Maintenance
The EDIAG device offers one year of free use for all functionalities and updates. After this period, renewal is required to continue accessing all features. Without renewal, only basic OBD2 functions will be available.

6. Troubleshooting & Important Warnings
- 24V Vehicles: The EDIAG cannot be used on 24V trucks and vans. Doing so will damage the device.
- ECU Coding on iOS: ECU Coding functionality is not available via the iOS system. Android is recommended for this feature.
- Vehicle Compatibility: Some Fiat models require an FCA account for diagnostics. Some Renault models require a specific gateway, which EDIAG does not support. Certain BMW, Mercedes-Benz, and Volkswagen Group (Audi, Volkswagen, etc.) models require the DOIP protocol, which EDIAG also does not support. If you are unsure about your vehicle's compatibility, please contact customer service for confirmation.
- Software Renewal: After one year of free use, renewal is required for full functionality. Without renewal, only OBD2 functions will be available.
