Troubleshooting

Trackball Not Responding

  • Check the connection type (Bluetooth, 2.4GHz, wired) and ensure the switch on the trackball is in the correct position.
  • For 2.4GHz wireless, ensure the USB receiver is securely plugged into your computer.
  • For Bluetooth, ensure the trackball is paired and your computer's Bluetooth is enabled.
  • For wired, ensure the USB-C cable is securely connected to both the trackball and your computer.
  • Check the battery level. Recharge the trackball if necessary.
  • Clean the trackball and optical sensors as described in the Maintenance section.

Cursor Movement is Erratic

  • Clean the trackball and optical sensors. Dust or debris can interfere with accurate tracking.
  • Adjust the DPI setting to a lower value if the cursor is too sensitive or jumps erratically.

Buttons Not Working

  • Ensure KensingtonWorks™ software is installed and configured correctly if you have customized the buttons.
  • Try resetting the trackball to factory default settings (refer to KensingtonWorks™ software or product support for instructions).

Battery Not Charging

  • Ensure the USB-C cable is properly connected to both the trackball and the power source.
  • Try a different USB-C cable or USB port to rule out cable or port issues.
