5. Operating Instructions

Figure 5.0: Overview of SUGON T21 Soldering Station components and features.
5.1 Power On/Off
Press the main power switch located on the front panel to turn the unit on or off. The digital display will illuminate upon power-on.
5.2 Temperature Control
The SUGON T21 features PID temperature control for stable and rapid heating. The temperature range is 212°F - 842°F (100°C - 450°C).
- Use the TEMP adjustment knob on the station to set the desired temperature. Rotate clockwise to increase, counter-clockwise to decrease.
- Alternatively, the T21 handle features temperature adjustment buttons. Press the ▲ or ▼ key on the handle to adjust the set temperature remotely.

Figure 5.1: The T21 Soldering Station heats up to 716°F in 3 seconds. The handle allows remote temperature adjustment and auto-sleep control.

Figure 5.2: The T21 soldering station features an extended handle cable and handle-based temperature control for remote adjustment and automatic dormancy.
5.3 Temperature Memory Storage
The station allows for storing three frequently used temperature settings:
- Adjust to the desired temperature using the knob or handle buttons.
- Long press CH1, CH2, or CH3 button to save the current temperature to that channel.
- Press the respective CH button to recall the stored temperature.
5.4 Automatic Sleep Function
When the soldering iron handle is placed into the sleep bracket, the unit automatically enters sleep mode, reducing wear on the soldering iron head and heating elements. Upon picking up the handle, it instantly heats back to the set temperature.

Figure 5.3: The adjustable sleep holder automatically puts the soldering iron into a dormant state when placed, extending tip life.
5.5 Tip Cleaning
The station includes a copper brush cleaning ball holder for effective tip cleaning. This method is superior to ordinary sponges as it does not require water and helps prevent damage to the soldering iron head.
