5.2. Pedal Assist Modes and Throttle Usage
The Hyper Ultra offers three riding modes: Low, Mid, and High pedal assist. The bike also features a throttle for power on demand.
- Pedal Assist: The motor provides assistance as you pedal. Select your desired assist level using the controller buttons.
- Throttle: The twist shifter on the handlebar can be used as a throttle. Twist it to engage the motor without pedaling.
5.3. Gear Shifting
Your bike is equipped with a 7-speed Shimano twist shifter and Shimano rear derailleur. Shift gears smoothly by twisting the shifter on the right handlebar. Shift to a lower gear for climbing hills and a higher gear for flat terrain or descents.
5.4. Braking
The bike features front and rear disc brakes for reliable stopping power. Apply both brakes simultaneously for optimal control and stopping distance. Avoid sudden, hard braking, especially on loose or wet surfaces.
6. Charging the Battery
The integrated 36V / 10.4Ah battery takes approximately 4 hours to fully charge. Always use the original charger provided with your bike.
- Ensure the bike is powered off.
- Locate the charging port on the bike frame, typically near the battery compartment.
- Connect the charger to the charging port.
- Plug the charger into a standard electrical outlet. The charger indicator light will show charging status (e.g., red for charging, green for fully charged).
- Once fully charged, disconnect the charger from the outlet first, then from the bike.

7. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and safe operation of your electric bike.
- Tires: Check tire pressure before each ride. The 20in x 4in multi-surface fat tires require specific pressure for optimal performance and comfort.
- Brakes: Regularly inspect brake pads for wear and ensure brake levers are responsive. Adjust or replace as needed.
- Chain: Keep the chain clean and lubricated to prevent rust and ensure smooth gear changes.
- Battery Care: Store the battery in a cool, dry place. If storing for extended periods, charge it to 50-70% and recharge every 2-3 months.
- Cleaning: Clean the bike with a damp cloth. Avoid using high-pressure water jets directly on electrical components.
- Fasteners: Periodically check all bolts and nuts for tightness.
8. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Bike does not power on | Battery not installed correctly or discharged. | Ensure battery is locked in place. Charge the battery fully. |
| Motor not assisting | Pedal assist level is zero or throttle not engaged. | Increase pedal assist level. Twist throttle. Check battery charge. |
| Brakes feel weak | Worn brake pads or loose cables. | Inspect and replace brake pads. Adjust brake cable tension. |
