The AC1200 Outdoor WiFi Repeater complies with IEEE 802.11ac/a/b/g/n standards, providing speeds up to 867Mbps on the 5GHz band and 300Mbps on the 2.4GHz band. It features a robust, weatherproof design suitable for harsh outdoor conditions.

The device features a weatherproof enclosure and lightning protection, ensuring stable operation in various outdoor conditions including sun, rain, snow, thunder, wind, and frost. Note: The PoE part of the router is not waterproof.

Setup
Before mounting the device outdoors, it is recommended to perform initial setup and configuration indoors, connected directly to a computer.
- Attach Antennas: Screw the four detachable omni-directional antennas onto the main unit. Ensure the 5G antennas are connected to the 5G ports and 2.4G antennas to the 2.4G ports as marked.
- Connect PoE Adapter: Connect the PoE converter to the main unit's WAN/PoE port using an Ethernet cable. Connect the power adapter to the PoE converter.
- Connect to Computer: Use another Ethernet cable to connect the LAN port of the PoE converter to your computer's Ethernet port.
- Access Configuration Interface: Open a web browser on your computer and enter "wifi.wavelink.com" into the address bar to access the setup screen. Follow the on-screen instructions to configure your desired operation mode and network settings.

Operating Modes
The WAVLINK AC1200 Outdoor WiFi Repeater supports several operating modes to suit various networking needs:
- Repeater Mode: Extends the coverage of an existing wireless network.
- Access Point (AP) Mode: Creates a new wireless network from a wired connection.
- Mesh Extender Mode: Integrates into an existing mesh network to expand coverage seamlessly.
- Router Mode: Functions as a primary router, connecting directly to your internet service.
- WISP Mode: Connects wirelessly to an ISP access point to share internet with local devices.

Installation
The WAVLINK AC1200 is designed for flexible outdoor installation. It can be mounted on a pole or wall using the provided main body holder and screw fitting kit.
- Choose Location: Select a suitable outdoor location that provides optimal Wi-Fi coverage and is within range of your existing network or wired connection. Consider mounting it high to minimize obstructions.
- Mounting Bracket: Secure the mounting bracket to a wall or pole using appropriate screws. Ensure it is firmly attached.
- Attach Main Unit: Slide the main unit onto the mounting bracket.
- Cable Routing: Route the Ethernet cable from the PoE converter to the main unit. Ensure the cable is properly sealed at the connection point to maintain weatherproofing.

Maintenance
To ensure optimal performance and longevity of your WAVLINK AC1200 Outdoor WiFi Repeater, regular maintenance is recommended:
- Firmware Updates: Periodically check the WAVLINK official website for new firmware versions. Updating the firmware can improve performance, add new features, and fix bugs.
- Physical Inspection: Regularly inspect the device and cables for any signs of damage, wear, or loose connections. Ensure all seals and covers are intact to maintain weatherproofing.
- Cleaning: Gently clean the exterior of the device with a soft, dry cloth to remove dust or debris. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
- Reset: If the device experiences persistent issues, a factory reset may resolve them. Locate the reset button (refer to Figure 9) and press and hold it for approximately 6 seconds until the device reboots.

Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your WAVLINK AC1200 Outdoor WiFi Repeater, try the following troubleshooting steps:
- No Power: Ensure the power adapter is securely connected to the PoE converter and plugged into a working power outlet. Check the LED indicators on the device for power status.
- No Internet Connection: Verify that the Ethernet cable from your router to the PoE converter's LAN port is correctly connected. Check your main router's internet connection.
- Weak Signal/Limited Range: Adjust the position and orientation of the antennas. Ensure there are no major obstructions between the repeater and your client devices. Consider relocating the repeater to a more central or elevated position.
- Cannot Access Web Interface: Ensure your computer is directly connected to the PoE converter's LAN port. Verify that your computer's IP settings are set to obtain an IP address automatically (DHCP). Try clearing your browser's cache or using a different browser.
- Device Not Responding: Perform a factory reset by pressing and holding the reset button for 6 seconds. This will restore the device to its default settings.
