3. Setup Guide

3.1. Battery Installation

The XS01-WX smoke detector is powered by a replaceable CR123A battery. Ensure the battery is correctly inserted before use.

3.2. Mounting the Detector

3.3. App Download and Wi-Fi Connection

To utilize the smart features, download the X-Sense Home Security app from your device's app store. The XS01-WX connects directly to your 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network. Note: This device is not compatible with 5.0 GHz Wi-Fi networks.

4. Operation

4.1. Testing the Alarm

Regularly test your smoke detector to ensure it is functioning correctly. Press and hold the 'TEST' button on the device until the alarm sounds. The alarm is designed to be loud, at 85 dB, to ensure it is heard throughout your home.

4.2. Real-Time App Notifications

Once connected to Wi-Fi, the X-Sense Home Security app will send real-time notifications to your smartphone for alarms, faults, and low battery warnings, keeping you informed even when you are away from home.

4.4. Optional Protect+ Premium Subscription

For enhanced security, an optional Protect+ Premium subscription plan is available, providing 24/7 professional monitoring service. When an alarm is triggered, the monitoring center will verify the emergency and can dispatch emergency services within seconds.

5. Maintenance

5.1. Battery Replacement

The detector will notify you via the app when the battery is low. Replace the CR123A battery promptly to ensure continuous protection. Always use a new, high-quality CR123A battery.

5.2. Cleaning Your Detector

Dust and debris can affect the performance of your smoke detector. Gently vacuum the cover of the detector once a month using the soft brush attachment of your vacuum cleaner. Do not use water, cleaners, or solvents as they may damage the unit.

6. Troubleshooting
