7. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Device does not power on. | Low battery. | Charge the device fully using the provided USB-C cable. |
| Cannot pair with Bluetooth device. | Device not in pairing mode; too far from adapter; interference. | Ensure the adapter is in the correct TX/RX mode. Put your Bluetooth device into pairing mode. Move devices closer. Reduce interference from other wireless devices. |
| No audio or poor audio quality. | Incorrect cable connection; wrong input/output selected; volume too low; incompatible codec. | Check all cable connections. Ensure the correct input/output (AUX/Optical) is selected. Adjust volume on both the adapter and connected devices. Ensure your receiving device supports aptX LL for optimal performance. |
| Audio delay (lip-sync issues). | Connected device does not support aptX Low Latency. | For minimal latency, ensure both the SOOMFON adapter and your connected Bluetooth headphones/speakers support aptX Low Latency. |
| Dual connection not working. | Incorrect pairing procedure for second device. | In TX mode, ensure the second device is in pairing mode and press the adapter's pairing button. In RX mode, only one device can stream audio at a time, even if two are connected. |
| Short wireless range. | Obstacles; interference. | Ensure there are no significant obstacles (walls, large furniture) between the adapter and the connected device. Avoid placing the adapter near Wi-Fi routers or other strong wireless signals. |
