Setup and Initial Use
1. Charging the Device
The radio comes with a built-in rechargeable Lithium-Ion battery. Before first use, or when the battery indicator on the display is low, charge the device using the provided Type-C cable.
- Connect the Type-C cable to the radio's Type-C port.
- Connect the other end of the cable to a 5V DC USB power adapter (not included) or a computer's USB port.
- A full charge takes approximately 3 hours and provides up to 20 hours of playback.

2. Inserting a Micro SD (TF) Card
To use the MP3 playback or recording functions, a Micro SD card (up to 32GB, not included) must be inserted.
- Locate the Micro SD card slot on the side of the radio.
- Gently insert the Micro SD card into the slot until it clicks into place. Ensure the card is inserted in the correct orientation.
- To remove, gently press the card inward until it springs out.

1. Power On/Off and Clock Mode
- Press and hold the Power Button (
) to turn the radio on or off. - When the radio is off, the display shows the current time.
- To set the time: While in clock mode, press the TIME button. Use the +/- buttons to adjust hours and minutes. Press TIME again to confirm.
- To switch between 12/24 hour format, press and hold the TIME button.
2. Radio Operation (AM/FM)
- Switching Bands: Press the FM/AM button to switch between FM and AM bands.
- Auto-Scan: Press the SCAN button to automatically search and save available stations. The radio will scan and store stations from the lowest to highest frequency.
- Manual Tuning: Rotate the Manual Tuning Knob on the side to fine-tune to a specific frequency.
- Selecting Saved Stations: Use the Previous/Next Track buttons (

) to navigate through saved stations. - Deleting Saved Stations: Press the MEM/DEL button to delete the currently selected station.
- Antenna: For optimal FM reception, extend the telescopic antenna fully. For AM reception, the internal magnetic antenna is used, and the telescopic antenna can remain retracted.

3. Bluetooth Speaker Function
- Press the Music Mode button (
) until "BT" appears on the display. - On your mobile device, enable Bluetooth and search for "YK-221" (or similar).
- Select the radio to pair. Once paired, you can play audio from your device through the radio's speaker.
- Note: This device functions as a Bluetooth receiver only, not a transmitter.
4. TF Card Music Playback
- Ensure a Micro SD card with MP3 or other supported audio files is inserted.
- Press the Music Mode button (

5. Digital Recording Function
The radio supports two types of recording: FM/AM station recording and MIC recording.
- One-Click Recording: Press the REC button (
) to start recording. Press it again to stop and save the recording. - Accessing Recorded Files: Press the REC FILE button to browse and play your recorded audio files.

6. Alarm and Sleep Function
- Setting Alarm: Press the SL/AL button. Use the +/- buttons to set the alarm time. Press SL/AL again to confirm. You can choose between radio or mechanical ringtones.
- Setting Sleep Timer: Press the SL/AL button repeatedly to cycle through sleep timer options (e.g., 15, 30, 60, 90, 120 minutes, or OFF). The radio will automatically turn off after the set time.
