Setup
1. Installation
The WAX625 can be securely mounted on a wall or suspended ceiling using the included hardware. Ensure the mounting location provides optimal WiFi coverage and is within reach of an Ethernet cable for power and data.

Powering the Device: The WAX625 supports Power over Ethernet Plus (PoE+) for simplified deployment, allowing both power and data to be delivered over a single Ethernet cable. Alternatively, it can be powered using an optional AC adapter (sold separately).
2. Initial Configuration with NETGEAR Insight
The WAX625 is managed remotely via the NETGEAR Insight platform. This cloud-based management system simplifies setup, configuration, and monitoring.
- Download the NETGEAR Insight app from your mobile device's app store or visit the Insight web portal.
- Create a NETGEAR Insight account or log in to an existing one.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to add your WAX625 access point to your Insight network. The app will guide you through the initial setup, including network name (SSID) and password configuration.
