1. Introduction

This manual provides essential information for the safe and efficient operation of your FOHERE 8-Slice Belgian Waffle Maker. Please read all instructions carefully before first use and retain for future reference.

2. Important Safety Instructions

• Read all instructions.
• Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
• To protect against electrical shock, do not immerse cord, plugs, or appliance in water or other liquid.
• Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
• Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts, and before cleaning the appliance.

4. Setup

1. Unpack: Carefully remove the waffle maker and all packaging materials.
2. Initial Cleaning: Wipe the nonstick cooking plates with a damp cloth or sponge. Dry thoroughly. Wipe the exterior of the appliance with a damp cloth.
3. Placement: Place the waffle maker on a stable, heat-resistant, and dry surface. Ensure there is adequate space around the unit for ventilation.
4. Drip Tray: Ensure the removable drip tray is correctly positioned at the base of the unit to catch any excess batter.

5. Operating Instructions

Follow these steps to prepare delicious waffles with your FOHERE Waffle Maker.

1. Preheat: Plug the waffle maker into a standard electrical outlet. The red 'Power' indicator light will illuminate. Allow the unit to preheat for 2-3 minutes until the green 'Ready' indicator light turns on.
2. Prepare Batter: While the unit is preheating, prepare your waffle batter.
3. Add Batter: Once the green 'Ready' light is on, open the waffle maker. Pour the batter onto the side marked with the 'FILL THIS SIDE FIRST' tip. This side has a temperature sensor to ensure proper heating. For best results, pour enough batter to fill the grid without overflowing.

4. Close and Rotate: Close the lid and immediately rotate the waffle maker 180 degrees using the cool-touch handle. This ensures even distribution of batter and uniform cooking on both sides.

5. Cook: Allow the waffle to cook. The green 'Ready' light will turn off during cooking and then illuminate again when the waffle is done. Cooking times may vary based on batter type and desired crispness (typically 2.5-4.5 minutes).
6. Second Waffle (Optional): If making a second waffle, repeat steps 3-5 for the other side of the waffle maker.
7. Remove Waffles: Once cooked, open the waffle maker and carefully remove the waffles using a heat-resistant plastic or wooden utensil. Do not use metal utensils, as they can damage the nonstick coating.

6. Cleaning and Maintenance

Proper cleaning and maintenance will extend the life of your waffle maker.

1. Unplug and Cool: Always unplug the appliance and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
2. Clean Cooking Plates: The nonstick interior is easy to clean. Simply wipe the cooking plates with a damp cloth or sponge. For stubborn batter residue, use a small amount of cooking oil to soften it, then wipe clean. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads, as they can damage the nonstick coating.

3. Clean Drip Tray: The removable drip tray can be washed with warm, soapy water or wiped with a damp rag. Ensure it is dry before reinserting.
4. Clean Exterior: Wipe the exterior of the waffle maker with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid.
5. Storage: For compact storage, wrap the power cord around the integrated cord wrap at the base of the unit. Store the waffle maker in an upright position in a dry place.

• Waffle Maker Not Heating: Ensure the unit is properly plugged into a working electrical outlet. Check if the red 'Power' indicator light is on. If not, check your power source.
• Waffles Sticking: Ensure the cooking plates were properly preheated (green 'Ready' light on) before adding batter. Lightly grease the plates with cooking spray or oil before each use, even with nonstick coating.
• Unevenly Cooked Waffles: Make sure to rotate the waffle maker 180 degrees after adding batter to ensure even distribution and cooking. Adjust cooking time based on desired crispness.
