Setup

1. Battery Installation

Batteries are not included and must be purchased separately. Ensure you use fresh, high-quality alkaline batteries for optimal performance.

Note: Always install batteries in the main units first, then in the sensors, to ensure proper synchronization.

2. Sensor Placement

Proper placement of the outdoor sensors is crucial for accurate readings and reliable wireless transmission.

After installing batteries, the units will automatically attempt to synchronize with their respective sensors. This process may take a few minutes. If synchronization fails:

Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
No outdoor temperature/humidity reading or "---" displayed.
  • Sensor out of range.
  • Interference from other electronics.
  • Low or dead sensor batteries.
  • Sensor not properly synchronized.
  • Move sensor closer to the main unit.
  • Relocate units away from interfering devices (TVs, computers, microwaves).
  • Replace sensor batteries with fresh alkaline batteries.
  • Perform a manual synchronization (remove all batteries, wait 60 seconds, reinsert main unit batteries, then sensor batteries).
Display is faint or blank.
  • Low or dead main unit batteries.
  • Extreme temperatures affecting LCD.
  • Replace main unit batteries with fresh alkaline batteries.
  • Move unit to a room temperature environment.
Inaccurate temperature readings.
  • Outdoor sensor in direct sunlight or near heat source.
  • Sensor exposed to moisture.
  • Relocate outdoor sensor to a shaded, well-ventilated area.
  • Ensure sensor is protected from rain and snow.
Atomic time not setting.
  • Interference or weak signal.
  • Unit not in range of atomic clock signal.
  • Place unit near a window, away from electronics.
  • Allow up to 24-48 hours for initial signal reception.
  • Manually set time if atomic signal is consistently unavailable.
