4.1. Pre-Installation Checks

5. Operating Instructions

5.1. Initial Power-Up

5.2. Setting Water Temperature

• Use the Up and Down arrow buttons on the control panel to adjust the desired water temperature.
• The LED display will show the set temperature. The heating element will activate to reach this temperature.
• The LED indicator lamp will illuminate when the heating element is active. It will turn off once the set temperature is reached.
• Caution: Setting the temperature too high can cause severe burns. A temperature of 49°C (120°F) is generally recommended for household use to prevent scalding.

5.3. Power Indicator

• The LED lamp indicates when the heating element is actively heating the water.
• When the lamp is OFF, the water has reached the set temperature, or the unit is in standby.

6. Maintenance

6.1. Annual Flush

• To remove sediment buildup, drain and flush the water heater tank annually.
• Turn off the power supply and cold water inlet.
• Connect a hose to the drain valve and open the valve. Open a hot water faucet in the house to allow air into the tank.
• Once drained, open the cold water inlet briefly to stir up sediment, then drain again.
• Close the drain valve, remove the hose, and refill the tank before restoring power.

6.2. T&P Valve Check

• Test the temperature and pressure relief (T&P) valve at least once a year by lifting the lever. Water should discharge from the drain pipe.
• If no water discharges, or if the valve does not reseat properly, replace it immediately.

6.3. Anode Rod Inspection
