This manual provides comprehensive instructions for the installation, operation, and maintenance of your GreenYi AHD Monitor Camera System. This system includes a 5-inch AHD TFT LCD monitor and a universal 720P camera, designed to enhance vehicle safety by providing clear visual assistance for rear, front, or side views. Please read this manual thoroughly before installation and use to ensure proper function and safety.

2. Safety Information

Observe the following safety precautions to prevent damage to the product and ensure safe operation:

  • Ensure all power connections are secure and correctly polarized to avoid electrical shorts.
  • Disconnect the vehicle's battery before performing any wiring to prevent electrical hazards.
  • Do not obstruct the driver's view or interfere with vehicle controls during installation.
  • Avoid installing the monitor or camera in locations exposed to extreme temperatures or direct sunlight for prolonged periods.
  • This system is an aid to driving and does not replace the driver's responsibility for safe operation and awareness of surroundings.

5. Setup & Installation

5.1 Monitor Installation

The monitor can be installed using either the dashboard mounting bracket or the windshield suction cup mounting bracket.

  1. Choose Location: Select a location on your dashboard or windshield that does not obstruct your view or interfere with vehicle controls.
  2. Attach Bracket:
    • For dashboard mount: Secure the dashboard bracket to the desired surface using the adhesive pad or screws (not included).
    • For suction cup mount: Press the suction cup firmly against a clean, smooth windshield surface and engage the locking lever.
  3. Mount Monitor: Attach the monitor to the chosen bracket. Adjust the angle for optimal viewing.
  4. Power Connection: Connect the monitor's power cable to the cigarette lighter adapter or directly to a 12-30V DC power source in your vehicle.

5.2 Camera Installation

The camera offers versatile installation options for front, rear, or side views. Use the provided metal or silicone holders.

  1. Select Mounting Position: Choose a suitable location (e.g., license plate area for rear view, grille for front view, under side mirror for side view).
  2. Attach Holder: Secure the metal or silicone holder to the chosen surface using screws or adhesive tape.
  3. Mount Camera: Insert the camera into the holder.
  4. Adjust Angle: Use the mini screwdriver to adjust the camera's lens angle (360-degree rotatable body) for the desired viewing perspective.

5.3 Wiring Diagram

Follow the wiring diagram carefully to connect the camera to the monitor and vehicle power supply.

  • Connect the 4-pin camera cable to the provided 26FT Double Shielded Video Cable.
  • Connect the video cable's RCA end to the monitor's video input. The yellow plug is typically for the rear view camera.
  • Connect the camera's 5FT power cable:
    • Red wire: Connect to a 12-24V DC power source (e.g., reversing light positive, brake light positive, turning light positive, or ACC).
    • Black wire: Connect to vehicle ground (GND).
  • If connecting to a head unit with a trigger wire, connect the trigger wire (usually labeled "Reverse" or "Back") from the head unit to the reversing light positive.
  • Ensure all connections are secure and insulated using the provided electrical adhesive tape and zip ties.

Note: All 4-pin cameras require the use of the provided power cable for connection to any monitor.

6. Operation

6.1 Monitor Operation

The monitor will automatically power on and display the camera feed when the connected power source (e.g., reverse gear) is activated.

Use the buttons on the back of the monitor to access and adjust settings:

  • Menu Button: Press to enter the menu and navigate through options.
  • Up/Down Buttons: Use to adjust values or select menu items.
  • Available Settings: Brightness, Contrast, Saturation, Tint, Language, Mode, Reset.

6.2 Camera Features

The camera offers customizable features via switcher cables:

  • White Cable: Cut this cable to switch between mirror (rear view, default) and non-mirror (front view) image display.
  • Orange Cable: Cut this cable to switch between CVBS and AHD video signal output. Ensure this matches your monitor's input capability.
  • Green Cable: Cut this cable to toggle parking guidelines ON or OFF.

Note: Perform these cable modifications before final installation and power connection.

7. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, damp cloth to clean the monitor screen and camera lens. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Cable Inspection: Periodically check all cables and connections for wear, damage, or loose contacts.
  • Lens Clarity: Ensure the camera lens remains free of dirt, mud, snow, or ice to maintain clear image quality.
  • Mounting Security: Verify that the monitor and camera mounts are secure and have not loosened over time due to vehicle vibrations.

8. Troubleshooting
