3. Setup and Installation

3.3 Electrical Connection
Connect the dryer to a grounded electrical outlet. Ensure the voltage and frequency match the specifications on the rating label of the appliance. Do not use extension cords or multiple socket adapters.
3.4 Condensate Drain
As a condenser dryer, it collects water in a tank. You can either manually empty the water tank after each cycle or connect a drain hose (if provided) to a permanent drain for automatic water disposal.

4.2 Loading Laundry
Open the dryer door and load your laundry. Do not overload the dryer; ensure there is enough space for clothes to tumble freely. Close the door firmly.

4.3 Program Selection
Turn the program selection knob to choose the desired drying program. The multi-function display will show the estimated drying time and other relevant information.
4.4 Starting a Cycle
Press the Start/Pause button to begin the drying cycle. The display will count down the remaining time. You can pause the cycle at any time by pressing the Start/Pause button again.
5. Drying Programs
Your Beko DC 101230 dryer offers 15 different programs to suit various fabric types and drying needs. Below are some of the key programs:
- Daily Express: For quick drying of everyday items.
- GentleCare/Shirts: Gentle drying for delicate fabrics and shirts to minimize creasing.

- Timer Programmes: Allows manual setting of drying time.

- Cupboard Dry: Dries laundry to be stored directly in the cupboard.
- Extra Dry: For very dry laundry, suitable for items like towels.

6. Maintenance and Cleaning
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your dryer.
6.1 Cleaning the Lint Filter
The lint filter should be cleaned after every drying cycle. Accumulated lint can reduce drying efficiency and increase energy consumption.
- Open the dryer door.
- Pull the lint filter upwards to remove it.
- Remove any lint by hand or with a soft brush.
- Insert the filter back into its housing until it clicks into place.

6.2 Emptying the Water Tank
If you are not using a direct drain connection, the water collected during drying will accumulate in the water tank. This tank must be emptied after each cycle.
- Pull out the water tank from its compartment.
- Pour the collected water into a sink or drain.
- Push the water tank back into its compartment until it is fully seated.
6.3 Cleaning the Condenser
The condenser should be cleaned periodically (e.g., every few months or as indicated by the appliance). Refer to your appliance's specific instructions for condenser access and cleaning. This typically involves removing the condenser cover and rinsing the condenser unit under running water.
